Weekly round-up:

Here is a new thread with interesting potential: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =12&t=3215

BASA continues to make progress and a number of us are trading it live – link below.

New platform that takes CrapQl4 indicators – maybe it will take our EA's as well, so it might be worthwhile investigating: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =75&t=3206
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EA's under continual development
EA's that show promise will be subject to continual development and the threads that post them will attract continual interest. Here is a list of current ones:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bob's latest, a test version of 10.6 is at: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 908#p73908 I really like this one and am trading it live.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Useful tip for keeping your Empty4 installation tidy: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 300#p74300 Quick and easy to do.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolute must-reads remain:
http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =38&t=1481 Read Bob's post 1 thoroughly so you know where to start. His latest offering is even more breathtaking than usual. Once you have your head around 10.5, go to Jem's thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 137#p66137 to see how he uses this in a really simple trading system on the H1 chart. You do have to understand the basics though, so don't try to circumvent the basic reading – unless you are an idiot, in which case prepare to lose all your money.

http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =59&t=1572 Read the first 100 pages or so, then cut to the last 20. Pay particularly close attention to CJ's charts. You might find a visit to http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =59&t=2525 illuminating. kwanann emerged as a leading contributor in CJ's thread and his own holds invaluable information. An addition to the CJ naked trading spinoff threads: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =59&t=2969

Reported broker scams
Some brokers are even more criminal than the worst we have come across. Read about them at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... m.php?f=72

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolute no-no's

These will build/have built up over the course of time.
  • Cowboy IBFX Aussie wankers blocked my live trading account again because I was running an 'old' version' of Empty4 – proving yet again that these bastards are in cahoots with the cowboys at Crapperquotes to separate all of us from our cash. Ok, so I do not really care because this is my tiny play-money account, but I would be cross if I had deposited $50,000 with them. Not that I would be that stupid. Nor should anyone else. Never deposit live cash with these cowboys. That is Cowboy IBFX Aussie, guys.
Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. [email protected] is the account.

Weekly round-up:

Not much to report here.

From last week:
“There is a new trade signals service with excellent potential at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =76&t=3217

Moving on, I have a lot of faith in these guys because The Crew they are recruiting are all members here so SpartanFX is set to become the Official Signals Service of SHF. In return for my support of
SpartanFX, I shall receive free trade signals. If they are good then I will make money and continue to support them. If they turn out to be rubbish, I will lose money. The consequences of that I shall leave to your highly accurate imaginations.

Weekly round-up:

A special plea: please go to http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 857#p80857 and make a donation to help the people in the Philippines. Even tiny donations add up, especially when matched by an outside agency.
….........................
Bob is creating a new 10.6 thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 454#p80454 At the time of writing this, he has not quite finished the opening pages, but most of what you need is already there. His “10.4 A Complete System” thread shows over 250,000 views. The new thread will go even further. Thanks Bob; you are a star.
…......................
I am going to put in a plug for macman's training and mentoring programme http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 2260#p2260 I have not taken part in the programme but this plug is based on my respect for this individual. He speaks rarely at SHF but I take notice when he does. He gains my backing in our Commercial section; this backing is hard to come by. Newbie traders, take a look; there is a 30 day free trial, so you can get a feel for what he is offering.

I asked David (macman) if he wanted me to add anything to the above. Here is his reply:
“Nothing to add really, except to underline that the Guest membership 30 day trial is still completely free with no strings what so ever attached. I can take up to 10 guest members at a time and everybody who wants to try out will eventually get a place. Sometimes there can be a bit of a delay, depending on how many guest places I have available.”

Here we go again – the start of another trading week. Good luck to all of you.

Cheers

Weekly round-up:

A special plea: please go to http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 857#p80857 and make a donation to help the people in the Philippines. Even tiny donations add up, especially when matched by an outside agency.
….........................
Bob's new 10.6 thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 454#p80454 is up and running and a lot of us made pips with it 10.6 last week. For confused noobs, I have posted a summary to get you started at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 393#p81393

BASA continues to make progress and a number of us are trading it live – link below.

Official SHF broker
Global Prime. Not just the 'Official' broker (cos we all know what a multitude of crimes this can cover) but my broker. I am happy that GP continues to offer the transparent and honest service they advertise at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =52&t=1394 Newbies, you will be labouring under the misapprehension that most so-called 'brokers' really are brokers. They are not, and are out to separate you from your cash. Read about their tricks at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =52&t=1475
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EA's under continual development
EA's that show promise will be subject to continual development and the threads that post them will attract continual interest. Here is a list of current ones:

BASA at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=2759
Crossfader at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =54&t=3091
Macd Stochastic Fractal MA5/25 Daily Marylin at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=1448
Sunrise, SunLight, TakeItEasy, SmartBaby, Flavius, Scooter, at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=1519
xMeter (R)Evolution at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=1310

Have I missed out your EA? Send me a pm.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reported broker scams
Some brokers are even more criminal than the worst we have come across. Read about them at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... m.php?f=72

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolute no-no's

These will build/have built up over the course of time.
  • at some stage, every newbie trader will become excited by Martingale. To avoid a bollocking from me, read http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=16&t=550 before you post about it. Even the most dimwittedly ardent exponent of this lunacy eventually stopped posting – he lost all his cash.

Weekly round-up:

phil_trade has posted a link to a potential replacement for the rubbish Strategy Tester (aka Crapergy Tester) that ships with Empty4. http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=3309 It would be great if some of you guys could check it out.

New member kenykau has posted a detailed description of his manual trading strategy at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =16&t=3301 I have not read it because I have a lot happening right now, but the level of detail kenykay has included over several initial posts, suggests it might be worthwhile having a look.
….........................
Bob's new 10.6 thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 454#p80454 is fantastic. I have made 575 pips in nine trading days over the last fortnight (I sat out NFP last week) and increased the account balance by 3%. Going there is a must must must.

Weekly round-up:

….........................
Bob's new 10.6 thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 454#p80454 is fantastic. I have made just over 750 pips in 12 trading days over the last 3 weeks (I sat out NFP last week) and increased the account balance by 5%. Going there is a must must must.
…..........................

We are still hoping a new platform will emerge that will replace Empty4. TraderDesk has found one with potential – visit his thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 264#p78264
…..........................

Old stagers might remember AshFX, initially at FF and subsequently in his own forum ForexMoments.com. He was absent for a while but has re-emerged with a new indi for which he claims is highly accurate. It looks like an easy indi to automate, so go to http://www.forexmoments.com/forums/show ... bmP&t=2220 and register with the site so you can download the indi.
…...........................................

Bob mentioned that he subscribes to newsletters by John Mauldin. I did the same and they look interesting and helpful. Signing up is quick and easy; go to http://www.mauldineconomics.com/subscribe to do so.

Ehup all

Nothing new this week and it is the start of the Christmas break, so I am not posting my usual thingy.

To those of us who take a break at Christmas, have a great time. Relax. Chill. Try not to think about Forex trading.

To those of us who do not take a break at Christmas, the markets will be asleep for a week at least. Relax. Chill. Try not to think about Forex trading.

Happy Christmas everyone.
