Diff is the size of the difference between the Currency Slope Strengths for each currency in the pair so the way I use it, simply positive (blue) or negative (red). Whereas Delta is their direction.saintalan » Wed Oct 05, 2016 6:44 pm wrote:
Thanks will give it a whirl!
Can you help me out, could you explain the difference between Diff & Delta in this context. I have read what I could find in the manual but can't quite understand it.
Cheers
Alan
For example following a CSS line cross lets say that makes the Diff positive (blue).. as price retraces from the new trend the Diff is still positive but the Delta turns negative. If Diff and Delta are both positive then the strength is positive and accelerating.
With my manual template in this screenshot I can see that M15 H1 and H4 diff would be positive ( as the SS are all crossed the 0 line and simply show as blue) and D1 CSS delta is also positive as GBP has moved up away from JPY at the close of the last candle. We can also see the D1 CSS is still ranging from the SS value of 1.13 so the sharp move up today is still within the daily range.
That's what makes these CSS indicators so powerfu l .. there is so much information that can be derived and with Bob and Baluda's recent work we can display them any which way on our chart and thanks to Mathias also in his EA.
