Helpful Utilities

Here is a link to a site where they have some really neat little utilities. I particularity like and use every single day the one called EACopy.
What EACopy does is let's say I have made a new template and I want to copy it to 3 other installations of Empty4. I just copy it into EACopy to templates and click a button and presto , it is placed into all my other Empty4's..
You can do the same when you download any indies, template, EA's from the forum by downloading them or placing them into EACopy they will then be copied into all your copies of Empty4 .. no more copy and paste one at a time ...
Just setup a file menu like is in your Empty4 >experts>indicators>scripts>templates... ect in the EACopy so you can tell the utillity where to send each file ... Trust me it is worth the little bit of time once for the time it saves later..

There are several other interesting utilities as well. They are FREE they just ask you register with them, I registered a year ago and have Never been bothered in any way, I am not in any way associated with them , just use their stuff..
It's worth your time to take a look... I think..


UpDate: I notice that EACopy no longer works with Cowboy IBFX as they have changed the way their Empty4 is installed... It may work elsewhere still.. (they changed their program folder name and I can not get EACopy to locate it no matter what I do.)

Here is a couple of scripts I use daily, they were originally written by zznbrm over at the "former" hangout lol, and were languishing unused. I asked zz for a little input as they didn't work any longer as written and with a little input from Hanover(David) they whipped these little scripts into working order for me..

They provided the 2 base script and I just made copies to cover the additional ...

The Timeframe script is pretty much self explanatory, make a copy and save it with whatever timeframe you need..

The Template script uses the dropdown template menu and calls the template by position in the list. TP 0 , TP 1, TP 2 ect ect.. you make and save copies of script but you will need to re name your templates to force them to the order in the dropdown menu you desire.

But it is very handy..... I just place the scripts in my "Favorites" list or you can "HotKey " them..

The base scripts are in this post ... I'll get around to putting the other scripts I use i the next post in a bit..

Template changing scripts...

Like I mentioned , This is dependent on the Template Dropdown Menu in your Empty4.

zzbrm said it was the only way to really accomplish this task.. I made 5 copies and they start TP 0 thru TP 4. One for each spot in the dropdown menu. You can of course make as many as you want..
The thing is you will need to ReName your saved Templates that you want to use the script for in a fashion that makes them appear in the Template DropDown Menu in the order you desire.. From the Top Down...

I use Microsoft SynchToyto do this, its more flexible and you can copy any files you want. I copy all my ea's and scripts and other files to my NAS, then to each Empty4 platform.
