The Big, Mega Indicator Challenge

Post by JonCodesBad »

I've been using the same indi for years and haven't found one that betters it, yet.

So that's the challenge... Beat my indi of choice.

Of course the type of indi is important. I'm talking primarily about MA based indi's.
Stochastic based indi's like "blau smi" are welcome as the turning points/signals can be compared. Indi's like "Peaky" are as far as I can see a different ball game.

I expect proof! In pictorial form and satisfy at least one of the conditions below.
  • Similar Smoothness with a greater speed.
  • Similar speed, but smoother.

The Indi to beat is Mladen' Alma.

You can use J_ARB by turning the bands off, or download the Mladen original below which is dual coloured for comparison. You'll only need to adjust the AlmaPeriod.

GAME ON... I hope you win. :ugeek:

The Big, Mega Indicator Challenge

To get the ball rolling I'll compare Weekly, as in WPB.

A few months back WPB was top of the leader-board over at FXTestify and gained my attention. The tests are still going strong to date.

So. I wrote a quick visual indy(Weekly) to see what signals it gave. Very interesting and I can see why, when combined with peaky it's doing so well.

The arrows are Weekly signals.

As you can see Alma outperforms Weekly most of the time. This isn't to say it's a better indy especially when combined with peaky. Those false signals probably result in greater profits in WPB.
