New SELL AUDJPY this morning.

Chyprius crisis blow cold and warm on €/$... I'm surprise $ is prefer to gold against € and CHF. Only my AUDUSD continue to run up.

Brain Storming request !

I never success to filter bad trade and good trade : they always look like to me similar at the beginning !
The only way to manage them it's to close them after a while.

For all of us who have trades since 2 weeks : please analyse each bad trade/good trade ! If you can see or add something to distinguish them.... please let me know !

well, if we are talking about holding our positions for sometimes, I think we might consider filtering the main trend at least on the daily timeframe?
On the 25th Marylin ask me to go long on €/$, this pair has been dropping a 1000 pips for about 2 months.
As a result minus 200 something pips in 2 days.
But still, I have a very small brain.

thks for answer !

the main trend is filtered by MA25, but we allow to take trade on reverse signal, which sometime get wrong.
But, in my 4 years tests, if i strengthen the filter, we took less bad trade, but also less very good trade, as they are taken at the beginning of trend, and the final result is worse.

Let's compare the very good trade took on 2012.11.16 at the beginning of up trend and this one you speak about on 23.03.2013. For Marylin filter, they look like similar :
- MA5 / MA25
- Stoch UP
- 3 MACD up
but one go into the trend, and the other was only a little retrace, banging on MA25

How to avoid this one, without avoiding the good one ! That's a question...like someone say before me

interesting, referring to the trades you were talking about, I noticed that since early February, we don't have any other fractal signal.
Is it not possible to tell Marylin to avoid taking position on the opposite side of the current trade until we get at least a new fractal?
Not sure it helps, we might miss some good trades but at least it might avoid her to take VERY bad ones?

Yes
UseFractalFilterToOpenTrades=true; Only take orders in the direction of the last fractal signal.

but my backtest result are worse with this option ON

Sorry miss this particular setting.
Will continue to check and to run on demo, BTW 0.35 works fine for me.

Phil,

when I said 0.35 works fine I was referring to the way it's dealing with my broker but mainly with my computer.
Don't know if you remember but had problem with0.33/0.34.
As far the trades still waiting for the good ones...

33 and 34 had major RSI bug and use of 35 is mandatory !
This week has been good so far for me. Will post trackrecord this week end.
