I have a question about "MaxTradesAllowed" and need your clarification please.
I read the Desky's user guide but could not figure it out.

I want Desky to open the trade when the super signal comes and close it when it goes flat. and I want it to do this just once, till the opposite signal comes.
I don't want to open other trades if the super signal comes in that direction again and again and again.

should I set the "MaxTradesAllowed" to 1 ? or what?

This is a classic case of the coder imagining that every one else can read his/her mind.

MaxTradesAllowed refers to the maximum of open trades that can be opened at one time. I will rename this input in future to: MaxOpenTradesAllowed and will adapt the user guide accordingly.

I'm sorry I didn't understand you.
So you mean Desky does not have the option to set the number of opened trades in one direction on each pair?
if so, is it possible for you to add this option to it?

Hi,

First of all congratulations for the hard work ... it is really a piece of art.

I'm using TDesk+Desky in a shared account with other trades, mostly manual, so the logical way not to have inteference problems inthis case would be to use a non-zero magic number both at TDesk and Desky ...

But I've found a small issue ....

When I try to use a non-zero magic number on TDesk ... all the Signal information just dissapears and only the trades information columns remains (charts for the 28 pairs are open).

Would you be so kind to check this out?

Hi.

All your indis that send signals to TDesk must use the changed MN too. There is a better solution in TDesk 6 which will be released soon.

I fear it is not that easy. Most indis don't have an input for the MN. You would have to change the code. Better wait for TDesk 6.

I am confused or possibly Desky is not behaving as intended. As you know my systems rely on basket closures at preset target profits, I have made great progress with CTD but have an issue maybe Steve can hopefully look at.

The logic as I understand it, rightly or wrongly is...

1. Basket total TotalCashUpl is calculated
2. If TotalCashUpl is greater than basket set target BasketTargetCash, basket closes
3. Everything is reset to 0 and we start again

If you look at the 2 screenshots below taken a short time apart, we can see the Highest HighestCashUpl total is varying without a new High total being reached, which isnt necessarily a problem with the function of the EA as its used for information only.

However a more serious issue I have found is the Current = which as I understand it reflects the TotalCashUpl also seems to not always agree with the actual Sum UPL, which means the basket does not close at the set target. I am assuming the values are not always being reset to 0 when a basket closure occurs but thats just my opinion and as a novice coder could be complete rubbish. I am using V3e.
