The EA is programmed to only ever have one trade of a particular symbol open at a time. The 'Time (in seconds) between trades' setting refers to how long the EA needs to wait after a previous trade of a particular symbol has been closed, before a new trade of the same symbol can be opened.

Ahhh makes sense. The frequency of the strength check would play a part also I would think. Correct me if I am wrong.

It is not taking fresh signals but both fresh and stale signals, when you increase the LookbackMinutes and this is one feature that was supposed to stand this tool out from similar dashboards.
Hi George thanks for hitting it back home again...

But here is the thing for me ....you essentially have to decide if you are an intra day trader (scalper), medium term trader or long term trader.

Let us use 34 lwma Ma as an example and say we are only trading the single line method. In most cases price would have crossed 34 Ma days even weeks ago on the longer t/frames so essentially as a medium term trader scalping against the trend on the longer t/frames for me would not be a safe bet. Yes pullbacks against the trend can be powerful and bag you a nice bit of pips but then you have to be at your computer and have your finger close to the close button.... so therefore I have increased the lookback minutes in order to get signals with the trend on the longer t/frames and included them in the currency strength test. If that was not done you would not get a signal in the direction of the trend but instead a fresh signal against the trend....I stand to be corrected but if you have included the 34 lwma on the 4 hour time frame in the currency strength test the ea would only pick up fresh signals if the lower time frames are moving above or below the 34 lwma on the smaller time frames but in the direction of the trend and essentially for me would be fresh signals...

another way we could look at it is to decrease the look back minutes to 240 and use a higher ma in the trade trigger parameters and even use 5 minutes as the trade trigger but in the direction of the trend with a higher Ma that would simulate the 34 Lwma on the 4 hour time frame for example.... :)

Correct me if I am wrong guys...I believe there is place for scalpers as well as medium term to long term traders with Mad.

As a medium term trader I am not a great person to follow market opening times and believe that if a trend is formed it will go in the trend direction no matter what time you have entered..

Please feel free to ask questions and correct me If I am wrong...

The one thing that I think would help a lot with that Leon is using the MA filter. Using your 34 lwma example, Fresh signals from 5m through H4 could show a slope up on 34 MA ( like that crazy move on E just now) but the filter will check Daily also which is downward so it would filter and put the brakes on the trade.

Here is todays results with TJF set both filtered with 12 lwma. The huge DD on the H4 trigger set yesterday was from not having a filter. I put the non filtered version on a different account on my VPS. Maybe this filtered version can gain back all the DD :lol:
I am going to spend time today looking at each trade to see how a larger ma such as 34 in the filter will effect the outcome.

Not necessarily unless you trade the one minute chart, since trades are taken @ candle close. The default is good enough for me @ 10 seconds.
