Here we go again – the start of another trading week. Good luck to all of you.

Cheers

Weekly round-up:

--------------------------------------------
New toys:

http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=2759 I include this again because not enough of you have noticed it. It is fantastic.

http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 733#p71733

--------------------------------------------

What follows is very sad for those of us who were involved with NeoTrader (Robert) in the early days of this forum.

Robert started come in, take a look and be part of something huge... in Our own Community Startup to build the Forex Tools we always wanted.

A number of us expressed interest and pledged cash towards the development of Robert's ideas. After he disappeared, and after some time had elapsed, I pm'd Robert to ask what to do with his sub-forum. My pm remained unread for many weeks. Eventually, I received this pm last week:

“I don't know when I will be able to come back. I had a really bad injury that damaged my spine and i was/am in the hospital and it will take some time till I will be able to sit and move again on my own. I'm getting better but it will take some time till I will be back.

please give this information to the other guys who are asking since I'm not able to communicate in any form. (This message is written from a friend whom I dictate).

And say them also that I'm sorry that I wasn't able to contact them. I hope they understand.

Wish you and the other guys good luck.

Happy Trading,”

It has taken me a few days to get over the shock of this. I will reopen Robert's thread so that you can all add your best wishes for recovery. I will send him a pm from all of us. I do not know whether/if he will read it.

---------------------------------------------
Absolute must-reads remain:
http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =38&t=1481 Read Bob's post 1 thoroughly so you know where to start. His latest offering is even more breathtaking than usual. Once you have your head around 10.5, go to Jem's thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 137#p66137 to see how he uses this in a really simple trading system on the H1 chart. You do have to understand the basics though, so don't try to circumvent the basic reading – unless you are an idiot, in which case prepare to lose all your money.

http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =59&t=1572 Read the first 100 pages or so, then cut to the last 20. Pay particularly close attention to CJ's charts. You might find a visit to http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =59&t=2525 illuminating. kwanann emerged as a leading contributor in CJ's thread and his own holds invaluable information.

------------------------------------------------

Absolute no-no's

These will build/have built up over the course of time.
  • Cowboy IBFX Aussie wankers blocked my live trading account again because I was running an 'old' version' of Empty4 – proving yet again that these bastards are in cahoots with the cowboys at Crapperquotes to separate all of us from our cash. Ok, so I do not reslly care because this is my tiny play-money account, but I would be cross if I had deposited $50,000 with them. Not that I would be that stupid. Nor should anyone else. Never deposit live cash with these cowboys. That is Cowboy IBFX Aussie, guys.
Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. [email protected] is the account.

Not much new this week.

Weekly round-up:

New toys mentioned again because not much notice is being taken of them by our wider readership. All I can do is plug them:

Newbie traders, remember the next couple of weeks will have low liquidity in the markets. Most of Europe, the UK and North America are on holiday, so trade only in the highly unlikely event that you really know what you are doing. I am sitting them out.

Weekly round-up:

Remember that the US is on holiday tomorrow, so there will not be a lot of movement during the NY session. Europe and the UK is getting back to work after the August holiday, but no guarantee that this will create a lot of market liquidity.

The new toy I introduced in my previous post took a couple of profitable trades last week. Far, far to early to draw any conclusions.

Bob's latest, a test version of 10.6 is at: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 908#p73908 I really like this one and am trading it live.

Useful tip for keeping your Empty4 installation tidy: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 300#p74300 Quick and easy to do.

Here we go again – the start of another trading week. Good luck to all of you.

Cheers

Weekly round-up:

Neat utility for having floating charts for those of you using multiple monitors. http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 608#p76608

New entrant in the 'EA's under continual development section:
Simple Bob at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=3154

100 Euro for free trading
Read kwanann's post at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =10&t=3123 We are always being told, “Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.” Newbies, here is an opportunity to do so from the start. I shall sign up tomorrow – nothing to lose. Just don't deposit your own cash or expect ever to be able to withdraw the freebie ok? Treat this as an opportunity to practise live trading with somebody else's money.
Remember guys, that the only Broker I actually recommend is Global Prime. Open your serious trading accounts with them, unless you are unable to because you are a US citizen.

EA's under continual development

Bob's latest, a test version of 10.6 is at: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 908#p73908 I really like this one and am trading it live.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Useful tip for keeping your Empty4 installation tidy: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 300#p74300 Quick and easy to do.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An addition to the CJ naked trading spinoff threads: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =59&t=2969

Reported broker scams
Some brokers are even more criminal than the worst we have come across. Read about them at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... m.php?f=72

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so I do not really care because this is my tiny play-money account, but I would be cross if I had deposited $50,000 with them.
