First weekly round up of 2014. Good luck to all of you. Tommaso is working on a method of turning this back into a newsletter that I can send to your pm inbox, as I used to do.

Cheers

Weekly round-up:

….........................
Bob's 10.6 thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 454#p80454 is fantastic. Bob is transforming the trading practices of a lot of previously unsuccessful traders.
…..........................

dudest has posted his first EA at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=3372 He has been working on both the EA and his trading methodology for 10 months or so, so this could well be a good one to try out.
…..........................

FXAW Entropy news for those of you still hesitating about joining. The signals generated by Craig's algorithm are exceptionally good. They are sent to a signals receiver that sits on the trading platform. A single 'slave' EA translates these signals into a form that the trade management EA's ('Tradebot') can recognise and work with.

We have seen baskets of trades going thousands of pips into profit. There is a problem with the tradebot's trailing stop feature that has seen trades fail to close at the right time and the trade move back into loss. The whole package is not yet ready for live account trading, but I am sure it will be soon.

I recommend that those of you still hesitating bite the bullet and join. There is a lot to consider when setting the tradebot loose, and you need to get a feel for how it works, and to calculate your own values for all the inputs.
…...........................................

BASA continues to make progress and a number of us are trading it live – link below.

Ehup Gals and Galesses. The markets are open again and the pulse rushes anew. Good luck to all of you this week.

Mind, if you are not a Global Prime account holder, you might not realise that the markets are open. GP opens with the open in Sydney at the start of the week, and closes with the close of NY at the end of the week. None of this open an hour late and close an hour early bollocks common to The Criminals (i.e. the rest of the so-called 'brokers' who are actually market-makers and worse).

Nothing much new this week, but read my comments about Bob's 10.6 below. I was a tad startled when I worked out how well I have done since the end of November.

We have a new sub-forum. We have been benefiting from Bob's macroeconomic expertise (he claims it is not expertise, but it clearly is) in his 10.6 thread. He wanted a place to discuss economics outside of his forum, so I created the new sub-forum. Read his first thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =79&t=3398

Cheers

Bob's 10.6 thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 454#p80454 is fantastic. Bob is transforming the trading practices of a lot of previously unsuccessful traders. Got there, and go there NOW

Ehup Guys and Guyesses. The markets are open again and the pulse rushes anew. Good luck to all of you this week. I hope you all do better than I did last week – I took a spanking. Hey ho. We all have bad weeks.

Major news event. ABSOLUTE MUST READ AND ACT UPON
Please read http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =15&t=3410 and follow the link in bisk's pm. There is a huge revamp of Empty4 coming, Given the bollocks those dimwits at CrapperQuotes made of the simple version, I dread to think how grim the complicated one is going to be. More information from biskwe about a thread showing what to do in preparation: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=468145 More info also in mop's thread at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =28&t=3016 – I posted my thread before seeing his.

Ehup one and all.

Good luck coping with the shenanigans that CrapperQuotes are foisting upon us with their latest downgrade of Empty4. Newbies with not a clue why we are so rude about these clowns, you are about to find out. What I hope is that the damn downgrade will fail so spectacularly that even The Clowns will have to withdraw it. This will not happen of course; instead we are in for months of pain whilst they add downgrade after downgrade to try to fix the chaos.

Sadly, despite a golden opportunity to do so, none of the prospective alternative providers of what we actually need have stepped up to the plate. The Protrader fiasco here is a prime example of dimwits missing the boat by such a huge margin that they look ridiculous.

Hey ho. Maybe one day, a platform coder with a firing brain cell will awake to the opportunity in front of him/her. I hope so. We shall see.

Cheers

dudest has posted his first EA at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=3372 He has been working on both the EA and his trading methodology for 10 months or so, so this could well be a good one to try out.

Weekly round-up:

More on the ongoing struggle to accommodate the latest drivel from Crapperquotes:

Digest of Steve's weekly round-ups

Post by SteveHopwood »

Those markets are open again folks. My guess is you will not realise it unless your broker is Global Prime. Lots of pips to you guys.

Cheers

Weekly round-up:

New toy: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=3484

Here is a must-read post by boldtrader: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 339#p87339 This inspired my new toy.

Original fans of Crossfader might be interested in AnotherBrian's on his own version. http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =54&t=3486 Brian has been developing this for some time and feels that now is the time to share. I do not recommend newbs trying to get involved here; unless you know what CF was all about from the start. From 'cold', it is near-impossible to work out what the EA does.
