Cryoptocurrenices / Blockchain / Initial Coin Offerings

Post by Jemook »

Hey team.

Not really sure where to put this but I thought I'd make a thread to see if anyone else is into:

Cryoptocurrenices / Blockchain / Initial Coin Offerings

If so what are your thoughts, how actively involved are you?

The more I look into this landscape the more I'm blown away.

Cheers
Jeremy

Hi Jem,

Can you elaborate on what it is that "blows you away"?
Particularly:
  • What are the costs of trading?
  • How safe/secure are your funds with a crypto currency broker
  • What is the liquidity of trading
  • What is the "predictability" of price movements. In other words, how hard is it to make money?
  • What is the trading platform like
I value your opinion.

Well first of all I'm surprised at the lack of responses to this. Blockchain is game changing and will have the same profound effects on the world as the internet did.

I can't type all my thoughts out on this - it would take too long.

But research these three things

Blockchain
Cryptocurrency
Initial Coin Offering

on this website: medium.com

The further down the rabbit hole you go the more blown away you will be.

Things that interest me are - instant settlement, distributed ledgers that are immutable, ICO or initial coin offerings which is like crowdsourced fundraising..

an ICO today raised 25million in 10 minutes.. absolutely insane.

Basically all started from a bit of code and a grassroots movement and is now on the cusp of flattening everything in the world and removing the middle men. Huge implications for FX and every industry out there.

Get some books, read up on it and then let's talk business

Cheers
Jeremy

I must admit I'm not involved at all in these topics. For several years now I experience some gut feeling that it might be interesting to move a bit into it, at least collect some resilient facts.

Thanks for the links so far and for starting this thread ... will start reading. Yet day business has some higher priority, as usual.

Hi.

I know I put myself in the doghouse right away with this.

For me the escalation of fraudulency is:

Forex
Binary Option
Cryptocurrency

It's all good, I think it was Warren Buffet that said:

'“Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”

There is a lot of fear around cryptocurrencies / blockchain etc so now is the time IMO.

And if you invest in any of the latest coins just for the sake of it then you'll probably get burned.

I'm investing in projects like Lykke (LKK) which is run by Richard Olsen who started Oanda. Super genius.

Invest in the people and in projects you understand only.

It's not easy to get your head around it but this is the future of how companies are going to be started and run. I'm not in on BTC but I did get some ETH.

Blink and you will miss this revolution. You need to be armed with how this all works and be following plenty of Slack rooms for these ICOs so you can be better informed to be able to invest in the opportunities.

Good thing it's all so fascinating .. I simply can't internalise enough information.

Regards
Jeremy

I've already doubled my portfolio .. If there's enough demand I might open a Slack to teach you how I'm doing it. Let me know if anyone is keen
