SERIOUS WARNING

  • Using the robot posted here in trading Forex does not guarantee success.
  • Trading this robot could lead to serious financial loss.
  • Trading this robot without understanding its underlying trading strategies guarantees traders will lose their money.
  • At best, a trading robot is only 90% as good as the manual strategy it trades. At best. At worst, it can be much less effective. If the strategy is rubbish, so is the robot.
  • To trade this robot, you have to understand:
MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS POST http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 41#p111241 There was a Forex bloodbath on Jan 15th 2015 that you need to know about. This sort of Black Swan event can happen at any second.

Moving Day's Pet Millipede is the brain child of Rueben, one of our newest, youngest and most talented members. OK, so his first approach to me included this, "This millipede system is derived from Pipeasy’s Equity Millipede," but Ruebon thought of applying it to Moving Day.

Details in the <thankfully short> attached User Guide.

Enjoy.

Sounds really interesting. Will start a demo with the defaults!

I spotted the template name for FxTestify is not changed from the origin MD:

Code: Select all

      ChartSaveTemplate(0,StringFormat("ZZT2MTPL-%s-%s-%s-%d-%d-%d-%d","SHF","MD","MULSYM",Period(),AccountNumber(),TimeCurrent(),MagicNumber));
I suggest MDPM instead of MD.

Very interesting idea love it  lets see how it pans out. Is it a huge ask to put it as an option in Desky?

Usual input. Usual place. I do not see the relevance of your question.

Shouldn't it be possible to achieve the same with the break even settings available in Moving Day using option "PartClosePercent" (not in documentation by the way)?
With these settings compared to the new we got in MDPM:
BreakEvenPips is TakeProfitPips (50 or better 51)
PartClosePercent is PercentageToClose (95)
BreakEvenProfit is BreakEvenProfitPipsM (50)
TakeProfitPips is LegTakeProfitPips (1000)

By this BE would close 95% at 50 pips and leave the rest running till 1000 pips.

Or do I get it wrong? I might be missing a puzzle so please bear with me.

Thanks, Steve and Rueben for setting this up for us.
I had my first trade today, The only thing I changed is the hard lot sizing from $1 to 0.50c. The rest is OOTB.

As per my picture MDPM closed the whole trade at 50 pips profit and opened another trade at 0.02c which is 5 percent of 0.50c. As per the manual, my understanding is that it should have closed 95% and let the remaining 5% run.

I looked through the settings to see if I did not overlook something and could not find anything.

Is there anything I am overlooking?

Cheers
Leon
