KB4056892
I had the KB4056892 installed and it crippled my Empty4 installs. I had 5 instance running and they were slow as a turtle. After uninstalling the updates, it's back to full speed. Hope this helps whoever else is experiencing the slow down.

Anyone else with similar problems and solutions, please post. It may not be relevant to the thread but it is sure as hell relevant to anyone running Crapdows 10 and trying to trade.lamdog330 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 10:04 pm wrote:KB4056892

lamdog330, perhaps you could explain how you uninstalled it; not everybody will know how.
Read the effing manual, ok?

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. [email protected] is the account.

The update KB4056892 has to do with Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities that affects basically all CPU in last twenty years. Uninstall this update at your own risk.

Only uninstall it if your machine really suffers notable slowdown that you cant accept. The effects of this update will be very dependent from your hardware. And more (hopefully improved) updates are to come. You might interrupt the update queue by uninstalling this one.lamdog330 » 23 Jan 2018, 00:10 wrote:

I'm also suffering Empty4 freezes the last days (which I hadn't for months) so I'll give it try.
But on every windows update check (which is done automatically in the background) this KB4056892 will be installed again, correct?

If you want to disable auto update, you can do all of these.heart1010 » Wed Jan 24, 2018 11:48 am wrote:I'm also suffering Empty4 freezes the last days (which I hadn't for months) so I'll give it try.

I took one more step and reinstall back to an old version of Windows 10 (1511) and stop all updates as above and hope for the best.

With 3 years old Windows 10 Version 1511 you dont have to do anything of the above. This version is no longer supported by MicroCrap and just doesnt get any updates. Not even the most crucial security patches. Good luck with this bright idea. Your installation is now inviting every possible version of disaster.
I hope you didnt mean this as sort of advice.
Cheers
