VPS v Cloud

Post by Kennard »

Hello guys,

Recently I came across an article about how to use Empty4 on Google Cloud and was wondering if there is any real advantage of using Cloud over VPS.

With VPS there is uptime 99%, would that be similar or worse with Cloud?

P.S.: Here is the article if anybody is interested.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. [email protected] is the account.

I am using it at the moment seems ok, been using it for about 3 weeks. My setup is a follows:

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Minimal
Running Empty4 using wine
Running SQL server express 17 using docker
Using ZeroMQ to send messages between SQL and Empty4

2 cpu's, 7.5 GB memory and standard 10 GB SSD

I went for Ubuntu cos its cheaper than windows so hopefully my free credit lasts longer :)

To answer the OP Google SLA says "the Covered Service will provide a Monthly Uptime Percentage to Customer of at least 99.99" https://cloud.google.com/compute/sla
