Post by phil_trade »

Hi all

I just discover this tools which could be interesting for MQL EA analysis. It's free and open source !

An independent developer named Darwin has just released the first iteration of a Walk Forward Analysis utility which is available for download; it also includes a backtest analyser component:

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. [email protected] is the account.

For those that like trading EAs, particularly on longer time frames, you should take a look at some of Darwin's latest work. http://darwins-fx-research.com/blog/ He is also accepting testers for his new parameter space analyzer and I have to say his work looks very promising.

Darwin's Walk Forward Analyzer v0.1 - FREE & OPEN SOURCE

Post by Radar »

I just tried the walk forward analyzer, and it fell down dead :( I guess it doesn't like v6xx :(

As for the Parameter-Space Analyzer, it looks good, but @ 50 Euros/month, it's a bit rich for me... There is a light version, but you can't optimize your own EA's, or import data from Empty4 :(

So, whilst they look good, one's useless, and the other's too rich for my blood :(

Has anybody found the source for the WFA? I checked the DF thread, and Darwin's site, but no luck :(

Anyroad...

Have fun!
