Starting manual trade but use ALR for loss recoverty
I want to start the trade manually but want the ALR to watch for the trade for loss recovery and do only the hedging for me. Is that possible? If so please explain the configurations that will be read by a dummy. Thanks

So is it not possible to use ALR 2.0 Trade Manager to use only for openin pending orders in a sequence which are predetermined, following a manual trade?

@Onoq I moved your topic here, because so you have more chance that someone using/coding ALR will see it and maybe give you an answer...
Cheers

Starting manual trade but use ALR for loss recoverty
Maybe I am being hasty but I want to tell what's on my mind in more detail :hi:
I'm trying this method about a week and it's working fine so far:
Using a demo account of $100, I trade with microlots
Starting with 0.02 lots and a tp/zone recovery = 3/1
Hedge with 0.03 then 0.03 then 0.04 then 0.05 then 0.07 then 0.09
I did not calculate for more hedging as i get 5 hedging trades most till now.
The thing is checking the screen if the hedge trade is opened or not and if opened put a waiting order to be opened in future is frusturating. So the only thing i need is something that will open the hedge orders and surely will close them when they hit the target profit as i configured beforehand.
Thanks

I think you can use a script to place the first order so that you can include a magic number. The let ALR ea take over. The ALR read first thread should be your first stop.

Thanks for the answer but guess what, I have no idea how to do these? I mean which script and how to combine it with ALR, etc. :AnotherBrian » Sun Feb 01, 2015 8:24 pm wrote:I think you can use a script to place the first order so that you can include a magic number. Hi There....
don't know whether that helps you, but manual trades always have the Magic Number "0" ...
If You Put that as Input into the ALR Trade Manager Constants... Everything works Fine...
Have a Nice Trade...

I see Tommaso has done some cleaning up here tonight.
I have done some more and am about to lock this thread.
Onoq, Gabestar has described how to send trades that can be managed by ALR. I suggest you do some reading and work out for yourself how to make ALR work for you, if indeed you can.
This forum is not for the pathetic and useless. Learn something useful before you 'contribute' again or I will remove your ability to 'contribute' at all.
