Just finished reading this entire thread (271 pages), HGI's Beginner thread and cannot describe the wealth of knowledge accumulated thereafter.
Loved reading those ‘dimwit’ and ‘cretin’ comments for certain users by Steve. This forum is gold and this indicator is the holy grail if you know how to use it.

I have been trading the basic strategy, 4H Chart and trading on the Large arrows only and exiting on the Wavy yellow ones. I have been playing with a little bigger lot sizes when there is a blue arrow alongwith a BIG arrow.

The win percentage is awesome and I have seen the account grow daily by 4-5%. Haven’t even started the compounding effect yet.
I trade around 8-10 pairs, & 4H chart gives me less screen time due to my desk job.

One thing that I would advise users is to close trades right before major news events like the Non-Farm Payrolls on the first Friday on the Month. This is a standard USD news event every month, and USD currency pairs can certainly change the direction in minutes. Resume your entry if the trend of the pair is in the same direction of your original pair. If the pair goes in the opposite direction, look for major support/resistance for reversals for re-entry or simply wait for the next HGI signal.

Anyone has any such database of standard/periodic news moments that can have a major impact on the trend of the pair? Obviously cannot consider those adhoc news events. This will make the simple and basic strat of HGI even more robust.

Jumped forward to say thanks (which is a bit inadequate) for probably changing my life.
Will go back and read the remaining pages to pick up the wealth of wisdom they hold.

Not a young man, but can honestly say HGI excites me like nothing has done in a long time.
I have enough patience to know that I need to read and digest everything I can before starting to trade.

I feel the same way after discovering HGI. Though I have only been studying Forex for a little over 3 months, and demo trading for 2. Still working through the documents and trying to understand everything, as well as absorb all the amazing information here in this forum. At least my demo accounts are in the positive thanks to everything I've been learning here!

Decided after a very short period of demo trading that I needed to go live to prove to myself that it really was as good as it appeared. Opened live with a small balance and using minimum lot size made over 100 pips in the week. The losses were due to still getting accustom to the system, once I was confident not to use a S/L made a big difference.
Its not as good as expected...…….. Its better

I've been following Bob on and off for about 10 years back in ff days but I've been away from forex for a fair while, this is my first post here.
Thank you to all involved in producing such a great indicator.

I've made myself a HGI cheet sheet that I'm happy to make it available to others if its of any use.
I've read the whole thread and this is the way I understand it but I could be wrong so please feel free to let me know if it needs any corrections.

Could you detail how you trade with HGI? What time frame you use etc etc...
