No, you don't need an external CSSDiff indicator -- this is all handled internally within the code of the MTF Dashboard.
Thanks for reply. And sharing your work with us. :good:

if I would like to swing trade 5 MA with shift 2 on m5 I have to choose:
method of calculation - MA single line,
then input the parameters to all of the timeframes in slow MA window and everything should work properly?
I can choose to show only the signals from last 15 minutes by changing HighLighMinutes to 15.

Did I understand correctly that the dashbord will inform me after the moving average will be crossed by price or after the candle will close below or above the line?

Will be grateful for help in unleashing the potential of this tool, which is great assist in trading. Thanks You and Rene for good work.

On the picture attached, the yellow box is the move that I would like to catch. Fake in London and then real move, my favourite pattern which is hard to observe on so many pairs manually.

Cheers,

What do you think, Rene, can you build an automated trader from the signals that this dashboard generates?
Thanks.
Sure can. But you are thinking the wrong way. The signals you see on the dashboard are generated by code (that I wrote). That same code can be used to open/close trades in an EA. What we now need is a set of entry/exit rules that use these signals, such as: Buy a currency pair XXXYYY, if currency XXX is strong and currency YYY is weak. How do we define strong and weak in terms of signals? How do we exit a trade? What do we do if the market rapidly turns against us? All these rules need to be defined and coded. George is chief strategist in this thread and I'm sure that he has something concrete in mind that can be coded. But let's not pressurize him. For now use the dashboard to help with your manual trades.

Hey Stav01,

Like Rene said, EA is possible but how do we do it since we all trade differently and only plug in our preferred moving averages. Let traders give their thoughts and we can work out something and Rene can go to work on the auto trader.

It is thanks to your dash that I'm able to easily spot opportunities in the market, 919gilead! :hi:

The dash was showing me EUR weakness and AUD strength and I squeezed some 62 pips out that sucker this morning.
This dashboard seem to made just for you :good: Well done again. We have been working hard behind the scene perfecting the dashboard but will start trading hopefully from tomorrow otherwise next week for sure.

Cheers

If everybody is agreed on the 35 LWMA on M5, then that's fine but do we want the filters or we leave the option to switch off/on the filters :?:

More suggestions please

Yes. I will ask Rene to give us the option to turn off the time frame(s) we don't need.

Question for you, are the boxes drawn by an indicator or is it manually drawn :?:

Apologies for the build-up of quotes, but I have to set things right here. My answers are in red

Yes. I will ask Rene to give us the option to turn off the time frame(s) we don't need.
There is a parameter called, NTimeFrames (Default: 5). If you only need 3 time frames, set NTimeFrames=3 and provide the settings for these 3 timeframes in the parameters, TimeFrame1, SlowMAPeriod1, .... FastAppliedPrice3, FastMAShift3, and don't worry about the settings for the parameters TimeFrame4 and above, as the code will ignore those.
I can choose to show only the signals from last 15 minutes by changing HighLighMinutes to 15.
Yes
No. You have to set LookBackMinutes to 15. The code will show a signal if there was a fresh (i.e. new) direction in these last 15 minutes. If there was no direction change (as calculated with the MaCalcMethod seting) there won't be a signal. A cell will be highlighted (i.e. the background color of the cell turns into the color of the arrow) if a new arrow appears between two refreshes of the indicator. The parameter HighLightMinutes determines for how long the highlight remains active. Be aware though that if/when you change any of the indicator's parameters, you will lose the highlights as the indicator 'forgets' when (the date and time) the signal was last changed.
Did I understand correctly that the dashbord will inform me after the moving average will be crossed by price or after the candle will close below or above the line?
Yes
No, The dashboard, as it is currently coded, informs on new signals. Depending on the setting of MaCalcMethod (either MA Cross, or MA Single Line) a signal is generated if there is a direction change within LookBackMinutes on the given time frame. So, the indicator doesn't look at price, but at the crossing of the Slow and Fast MA (if "MA Cross" was selected), or at the slope/direction of the Slow MA (if "MA Single Line" was selected).
On the picture attached, the yellow box is the move that I would like to catch. Fake in London and then real move, my favourite pattern which is hard to observe on so many pairs manually.

Thanks Rene for the clarification; that's what you get when you do things on the fly. :(
