The Captains Chest - Naked Trading & Other Stuff
Just curious guys. This thread is quite old: has any body made any money from naked trading?
Read the effing manual, ok?

Adding BARF to my trading plan.
Simplifying & improving the way I trade M's & W's (Bat, Gartley etc patterns).
I tend to ignore all the 'Fox this, Fox that' stuff as I find it distracting.

I remember that I'd given it about 5 years of trying to figure out the markets when Captain Jack started the thread, but at that point I was so frustrated I decided to give my endeavour up and concentrate on other things, 4 years later or so and a few months ago I decided to pick it up again. Well... I'm glad I did!
I went about it and printed off the pdf collections for the thread where they still remain on my bedside table for evening reading. Slowly I have started to get a feel for the markets and am making good dollars trading demo, yes demo! I'm still discovering a style that works best for me, last Sunday I tried scalping bitcoin and added 30% to my account but it was too intense and really not enjoyable, this week I have about 10 open positions which I check in on every few hours, which is much more pleasant I think. As for scaling in and being really aggressive I think it might be something which comes with time. But in essence my overall feelings and attitude towards trading has changed, I am developing a good feel for market speeds and behaviour and most encouraging of all... I'm optimistic about my trading career.
And yes this thread is old, there's no such thing as a dumb question and there's no such thing as a dumb post, I find it all fascinating and am very thankful to Captain Jack and all contributors. That's about it Steve, to answer your question, it's a 'No' at the moment but a 'Yes' on demo.

Me too! Made money because of the principles here - lost a bit because of my overconfidence, greed and lack of discipline. This thread, for me, is the best thing that happened to this site!

Yes, this method is profitable.
I started lurking this thread 1-2 years ago - failed many times initially on demo but once the light comes on, it comes on. I joined DFC last year, but didn't like KJ's teachings, unfortunately, and some of his stuff was serious BS. CJ is a far better mentor.
Here's a snapshot of my live account trading this method since CJ returned from his absence this year. As CJ said... once you're in the money... don't give it back!
Unfortunately some people are just not 'going to get it,' and there is still a lot for me to learn, and everyday is a learning adventure.

Hi Guys,
In essence I am not a pure naked trader and use weekly/montly and yearly pivot support res levels for my entry criteria...I also use peaky to enter my trades. I recently joined Cj's thread to jack up on my exit levels by scannning 3 level pushes and 3 level counts etc. and it has helped me.
My personal opinion is that when trades are entered by posters here, it is usually after the fact and I have seen some guys truly posting the reason behind their trades and immediately, good and most can learn from it. Wish I can see more of you.
I also echo Steve's sentiments,
What confuses me most is when I see all these counts. Is it elliot wave counts?. I do not recall Cj ever mentioning it unless it was at DFC. Well if so I am not interested in Elliot waves.
Anyway just my 2 cents.

there is no real direction given to traders other than mystic clues by the genuises that have mastered CJ's methods. I know I will be told to go back and read the thread and which I have done on numerous occassions but it does not help the overall cause.has any body made any money from naked trading?
