I don't have those on my chart. I copy and pasted from a screenshot of the awesome HGIMatrix ( http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... matrix+hgi ). I wanted to show what I mean by lining up, blue wavies and rads and post a single image.

The price hit my "safety" TP on my way home from work. Moved quick, no major news was scheduled for EUR. Maybe time to leave some of the trade on the table at BE, when there is positive swap and hopefully catch a large trend. Commodity trades on HGI still looking good. I am still short coffee which has now dropped to 128.05. I have been short sugar for a few days and shorted wheat yesterday at 506.40. The only forex position I have on is short EJ.

I traded a few stocks and so far the results have been OK. I see no real reason why it should not work there. One problem has been the gap openings as many do not trade 24 hrs. I had 6 positions on (AMEX, BOA, Chev, Boeing, Tesco and MSFT). Got hit on Tesco and MSFT with gaps as the wave and then arrow both vanished as market conditions changed. I like trading stocks as I can combine a view with HGI.

Which broker data feed do you use? Can you give the specs?

the problem is that with this kind of symbols most brokers offfer a very bad history, what causes in every case with HGI problems.

Hi

I do not use a Empty4 broker for trading indices and stocks, I use interactive brokers. I have smaller accounts with Hotforex and Hanseatic Brokerhouse in Hamburg. Both do index CFDs, commodties and stocks. I use HGI on their Empty4 platform and when I see a trade i use Interactive. Now and again I do trades through both so that they earn something on the spread. Hanseatic covers a great many stocks and indices and is regulated by the German Authorities. Their problem is that their spreads really suck while so far my experience with Hotforex has been very good. The only thing I do not like about them is that they are not regulated in a major jurisdiction. I have been burnt with brokers going under so I trade size only with Interacative. They are really good, excellent spreads and prices and you can literally trade everything through them. However they have really terrible charting and a crappy platform. It seems one cannot have it all.

This is very true but if you trade the D1 TF on stocks and wait for the day after the candle close its not that bad. H4 HGI is not good on stocks - probably because many do not trade 24hrs so I use D1 only.

If you are looking at stocks, I suggest you use the wavy lines as the main signal. They seem more stable on stocks. You can then use whatever you like as the entry trigger. You can enter on the wavy line or chose to wait for a trend arrow or very simply use a moving average or ma cross in the direction of the wavy line. Simple is best. I generally have a view on certain stocks and then use HGI to enter in the direction of my view. I have been looking at HGI and stocks for month and started trading them about 10 days ago so early days. If anyone is interested I will share my results at the end of the month.

So you mentionned: Hotforex & Hanseatic Brokerhouse ? Do they allow demo account ? If yes, what are the specs to type in?

Yes I am sure they do. Sorry but I do not know what you mean about which specs to type in. I do not use demo accounts. Demo trades bear little resemblance to actual trades. The spreads, slippage etc are always better on demo so I use a micro account instead. If its just to run HGI and then take the trade elsewhere I am sure thats OK.
