Fabulous. Thanks.
I tell you what; if effectively getting booted off FF and starting my own forum had resulted in nothing other than you presenting the
ide, I would have been one happy bunny.
This makes my life
soooo much easier. I cannot thank you enough.
I have used your
ide for some time now and am settled on the final thingies that would make my life complete.
The first is probably quite tough; I would really love the
ide to 'remember' the state in which I left it - wrap enabled, Func tab selected etc Don't kill yourself over this though; it only takes a few seconds to set thingies up as I require, so I am basically being a lazy, demanding sod here.
The second is the biggy, and it is a huge biggy. I would really, really,
really love to be able to banish the compilation report pane by hitting the Esc key a la metaeditor.
Here is why. I am a crap coder. Gary knows it. George know it. sq knows it. Philippe know it. The Pauls know it. Any half-professional coder here knows it. They are all just too kind to say. When I type in a line of code, I hit the compile button to ensure I have not done anything monumentally stupid. The furthest I will go without hitting the compile button is setting up an empty conditional or loop construct such as
if (condition)
{
}
I like as much available editing space as possible in my editing screen, so I hate having the compilation report pane on view. So, it increases my productivity and ease of use hugely if I can banish it with the press of the Esc key rather than a right-click/Hide sequence.
I will stop begging for enhancements soon, I promise. These two
really are the only ones remaining that I always yearn for.

Read the effing manual, ok?

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.
