Just made an IDE for MQL4

I have 2 different experiences with F5 .

a) program folder for IDE installed on drive D (not drive C where programs are installed)
----> error. does not compile because the path is wrong

b) program folder for IDE installed in Programs folder on drive C
-----> no error, compiles perfectly.

Now I have to change the settings for the fonts in this new installation on the C drive to get
bigger font.

ah... never thought about the situation that EA and editor on different drives... i'll fix that in next release

for people who are already using the editor please update to this version and try out the Empty4 reload feature. it should be working but who knows, it's Empty4.

i would really appreciate if you can give some feedback on whether it's working or not. if it's not working then excuse me i'll have to bang my head on walls for a while. if it's working then it's great, can i have the newest version of whatever you are planning to release asap?

Hi w633,

I was gonna try the eclipse customization but found it requires too much work so finally settled on SciTE customization, the hardest part is not to customize the editor, but to write a small program to parse the XML document file from Empty4.

I used this plugin for eclipse...http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=328326

I just tested your IDE...and it looks fine...compiling and updating MT also works...great accomplishment..

Now some little requests..

If i select a function/Procedure on the list can you show it always on the top of the edit screen and not sometimes at the top and sometimes at the bottom, dependent on where in the code you are...
I already can work around this issue when i first select a function below the function i want to select...but it would be nice..

second thing would be a feature that i really like in notepad++ if you mark a word it automatically highlights all occurrences of this word in the source....this helps enormous to go fast across the code in search of where eg. a variable is used. I know i can also use the search feature...but it would be fine..

again...you did a great work here...think I will switch to this for my main editor for mql.

Is there a way to make the text bigger ?

I know that this was already addressed...

but another way to change the fontsize inside the editor is to hold your CTRL Key and scroll your Mousewheel... this works also in many other Programs...like Firefox, Word, Excel...

I also confirm the un-headbangingness of the current situation.

This is just plain awesome. w633, there have been some remarkable coding contributions in this forum already that make our work safer and the code tighter; there will be more in the future.

They will have to be pretty remarkable to to yours.

i also tried the eclipse plugin, however i feel it's a half completed project and the orignal author is not willing to release source code to let others improve on it, that's why i finally decided to make this IDE.

regarding to the features, this will be the next ones i'll work on, and thanks for the compliment!
