Also, do you know of a script that will change all open charts to a specified time frame? I'm running build 625 under Cowboy Cowboy IBFX Australia.
Many thanks[/quote]
I use these. Be aware that the first template in the list is 0 (zero)

10.7/10.9 INDI SOLUTIONS
I'm trading mainly the H1 (and sometimes lower) at the moment and I have 24 mini charts on one of my trading screens. This allows me to eyeball each chart quickly and see where the opportunities are (stochs and dummy lights). I am using the single chart approach for keeping tabs on the daily, although I find it very cumbersome to be continually dragging/dropping pairs onto the chart. (This is why I asked in an earlier thread if there was a script around that will change the time frame on all open charts).Gertje » Wed Apr 09, 2014 12:02 am wrote:
Another thing to consider is to use Al's way to arrange charts, see below.
This way you only run ONE trading-chart, and drag the intended pair on that chart from the market watch.
Gives u HUGE relief on CPU-resources, and it's easier to keep track of indi's.
It doesn't work when using EA's though.
Also, it's way easier to find the requested pair, no scrolling from left to right and back again.
A few people also mentioned earlier that they had created a template for both 10.7 and 10.9, rather then having separate charts for each. I like this approach but there were some minor issues between the 2 indis, window names/level names etc.
@milanese: Would it be possible for you to also provide a combined template for 10.7/10.9 ?? on page 1 of this thread that resolves those window/level names issues and takes the respective time frames into account, I mean when looking at the daily timeframe you don't want to be seeing the daily stoch. Such a template would allow quick eyeballing of 10.7/10.9 on all 24 pairs in the appropriate timeframe.
At the moment I am not using the actual alerts, I'm making the trading decisions based on what I see in the charts.

@ milanese
Tommaso,
i still experience 10.alerts from 10.9 indiocator.
Hope at your speed of work and with the growing number of updates you don't end up "mixing" 10.7 & 10.9 indicator code.
I'm just starting out with MQL4 and wonder if there are any tools that allow some sort of testing / bug / quality checking besides the MQ compiler?
Have you ever thought about leaving the indicator names the same, and putting the release info inside the indicator? (you could still organize your versioning by folders or other system).
This imho would make it easier for the rest of us to replace the indicators and update existing templates ...

OK Tommaso, this is fantastic. Please include this now in the 10.7 indi and my no text 10.7 indi (I think this Text True or False could be incorporated as an extern input in the standard indi). Also, please change H4 text to: H4 (actual value) UP/Down. For example, if value is 9.1 and the H4 is rising, it would read: H4 (9.1) UP. This way, it will occupy less space and be usable in mini charts also.milanese » Tue Apr 08, 2014 8:59 pm wrote:and here you go new if actual stoch H4 7.2.2 value > as last one green colour and red colour if actual value <milanese » Tue Apr 08, 2014 7:49 pm wrote:I will change it in that why, as you are rightalorente » Tue Apr 08, 2014 7:46 pm wrote:This certainly helps a lot, but it would be great to know if the H4 is rising or falling. If it is rising, I would not short in the lower time frames. If it is falling, I would not go long in lower time frames. That is why it is important to know. Still, what you have done is very helpful for now.milanese » Tue Apr 08, 2014 8:19 pm wrote:Al, look at this one I made it shows you the H4 Stoch value and changes the color Gold for neutral, red for >70 and green for < 30milanese » Tue Apr 08, 2014 5:47 pm wrote:Let me think about this.. maybe I will find something matching your idea..alorente » Tue Apr 08, 2014 5:33 pm wrote:Even better, a little rectangular dashboard like the one in the Genesis system, where you get red or green small lights in M15, H1, H4 and D1. For guys that trade H1 or below, it would be great to have some indication on the screen of where is the H4 Sto7 located. For example, I just got a nice sell signal on S&P500 on H1. The Sto7 was crossing 90 and it looked ready to go... UNTIL I changed time frames and I saw that the H4 Sto7 was moving UP and was just crossing 30, so it had a lot to move on the upside. Don´t get me wrong... I´m not lazy and before I enter an H1 trade I will always check H4 and scope out the Sto7, BUT, wouldn´t it be great to have a Red or Green arrow with a number next to it so from the H1 screen you can tell if the H4 Sto7 is going up or down and what value it has right now. Just an idea... If you don´t like it, proceed to ignore my lament. :hi:

I know it is no dahboard but maybe it matches a little bit what you asked..
