11.0 trading sessions

Thanks renexxxx,

I can't test it at the moment but that's probably solving the issue people were having with sessions being marked 15min prior their real time.

Now we can to stop talking about indicators and focus on the system

Bourgenot,
The vertical line is actually 15 min before the session start, it is on the candle you make the AC reading.
the line is also taking the AC color of the "decision candle" once the candle has closed if the option is enabled (it is by default) :
line is RED -> decision candle's AC is RED -> sell set up
line is GREEN -> decision candle's AC is GREEN -> buy set up.

If it's not clear, send me a private message, I'll explain in french ;)
:D

If I suggested this idea (alert), it's because there is a gap between the vertical line and the color of the session; and we need to know the color of the AC. Sorry, have a good day!
Actually I am sorry. It was a stupid comment on my part. I shouldnt have said it and am sorry.

Ok this is how the indi should work. Lets pretend session starts at 3:00. At 3:00 the histogram bar has just finished and is posted as finalized before that it was still an open bar and could change. There is no bar to read at 2:45 because the 15 minutes it takes to make the bar has not finished but has just started. At 3:00 the bar finishes and will be red or green. Also at the same time, at 3:00, the open line is drawn because this is the open candle of the opening session. Now you take your read. You have your two notifications. Open line +/-10/20 and finished bar from 2:45-3:00 happening all at the same time. You read the signal and decide to trade. There is no reading the bar at 2:45 because the bar is not complete. There is no reading the bar at 3:15 because you are 15 minutes past. You get your read right at 3:00 and you set up your trade or you dont.

My next step to this would be a saved script/EA screen that is set to set trades at the open. It would work like this. I see the chart and it shows green and I want to set a pending trade. I go to my template screen that says buy 11.0 and I open it. It automatically set my buy stop trade, sl, and tp. I go on to my next screen and it has a red bar. I then go to my sell template and open it. It automatically sets my sell stop, sl, and tp. I go from screen to screen and make my decisions. After I am done I can then change all my screens back to a my original template and let the market enter or not enter my trades. Since I am loading my screens one by one I wont be overloading the server with multiple orders coming in at one time. Just click buy or sell template until I am happy with my trade setups and then use the change all template script and change them templates back to normal and am done for that session. I expect trading 12 pairs I could be done in about a minute.

USA session trade all pairs. With EUR, USA, CAD banks all open everything is traded.
EURO session trade all chf, eur, gbp pairs. JPY session is still open so you could trade all JPY pairs.
That leaves AUD, NZD pairs as most likely not to move. I wouldnt trade usd/cad then either.
JPY/AUD/NZD sessions: trade all jpy aud and nzd pairs along with eur/usd and gbp/usd. I would pass on usd/cad, chf, eur/gbp, eur/chf etc.

That gives you a healthy set of pairs to choose fromr

Bob, imagine we have a dahboard with all the pairs and the colors of the 2 or 3 previous 15min bars preceding open session.
Then imagine we have the pairs tradable for the session in brighter color.
Then imagine in front of each pair 2 buttons: one for Buy one for Sell
Then imagine when pressing one of these 2 button, the system opens the correspondant chart and place the correspondant script, with all the stuff.
What do you think ? Feasible ? (In all cases it simplifies the task. Do you agree ?)

I like the push buttons and the brighter session pairs. Shoot wont even need the charts if it is accurate. I am going to study this next weekend what would happen if we just entered in the direction of the colored bar and now wait for the 10 pips. In other words enter at the open session with the right pairs at each session Go 20/20 TP/SL but move the SL up as price moves up. See what that looks like. I will study that one over the next couple of days.

Good morning! :hi: :good:
Thanks for this idea. It has really sparkled my imagination something fierce. Never having used scripts before a question if I may. By saying
a saved script/EA screen that is set to set trades at the open
are you referring to something akin to a Phillip's Pending Buy/Sell Script embedded into a template?

Thanks now.
Cheers, Doc :)

Yes, I used to do that with all my MA EAs. Just pick the buy or sell and let the computer enter the trade.
