Nice catch on a writing error the +15 was the gbp/jpy not the eur/jpy. Sorry for the mistake but that is how I wrote it on my paper this morning and I do have the eur/jpy twice on my paper and no gbp/jpy. So I will go back and edit the post. But the totals remain the same.

I did the same but added gbp/usd and eur/usd which I had said earlier was ok to use. I also did gbp/cad, gbp/chf and eur/cad which totaled -12 pips. So if I had followed my own advice (like when do I do that) I would have been 12 pips higher.

Euro session. 2 reports.... I lost money by putting on the JUMP EA. In other words I closed some trades that would have been profitable if I let them alone. Instead some closed with small losses and didnt become winners. SO I am not doing that again. gotta let it go and let it run. If I had let the trades run I would have been 7 winners and 3 losers with 1 eur/nzd still running.

I also need to set my trades earlier or before the top of the hour. Will have to go with what the bar is saying maybe 5 minutes early. By the time I got to 3 of the gbp pairs they had already run +15 and were outside the lines. So I missed 3 winners on that and had 2 others with losses that would have hit +15 if I hadnt had the jump EA. The one that were losers touched the line and went against me anyway so the jump EA didnt save me anything. So now I am down for the day and looking to make up in the USA session. I will decide tonight in my studies and see if it is better to go an hour into the session like I do with JPY and EUR or stay with the USA open. In other words I am going to compare setting trades at 9 instead of 8 am. Going into a session an hour into it seems to keep me out of the Bank traders looking for stops to run and BT traders fading the open. Sorry BT I just want to stay out of your way. Anyway lesson learned for today.

Hi bob, 4 trades this morning London session 2 wins 2 losses, Eurjpy, chfjpy winners, gbpusd, gbpjpy, lost, just using the selected pairs which you suggested, gbpusd, directly my trade opened long, it shot down hit the stop, I have a pending order placed in case it goes back up, anyway your idea of waiting an hour before placing trades might be worth considering
if i understand you correctly

So just to clearify Bob, you will be using the bar just before the 9am candle ?

thanks

Yes of course that gives direction. I just got killed using the 8 USA open. Things just entered and sat there and floated back to the SL. So looking forward to 9 which is in 15 minutes.

Here is the tally for USA session:

GBPCHF -15
GBPJPY -15
GBPUSD -15
EURJPY -15
GBPCAD +15
GBPNZD +15
GBPAUD +15
EURUSD +15
AUDUSD +15
USDJPY +15
NZDUSD +15
USDCHF +15
AUDJPY +15

All positions closed now. Net +75 pips. Not bad, but i may need to add filter, and couldnt use DO line to determine where to put in trade since I used the bar before the 9AM open. Will look forward to Asia. Also must take into consideration news events going on right at the 0830 USA session. Seems to have caused quite a bit of moment on the CAD at the time.

just fyi stuff

thanks

London and Newyork sessions 12 winners 4 losses, not bad at all, I had to do the 8am open for new York session
As I wasn't around for the later start, bearing in mind not trading all pairs, only the ones bob suggested for each session, I actually placed my pendings on the new York session before 8am as I had to leave,
