It's called iHistory and it's by Baluda. Most of us here use either iHistory or TradeReport. You should be able to find both with a little searching (there is a sub-forum here dedicated to Baluda's indicators).rmndschmidt » Sun Feb 01, 2015 2:53 pm wrote:

Don't understand your question fully, but in general not really. What might also work is ie. W,D,4H. but the original works well and I focus on this...I know a few has tried out different alternative settings, look back in the thread.Angat » Sun Feb 01, 2015 1:57 pm wrote:PC, just out of curiosity have you tried different triggers such as: MN Dw, W1 Dw, D1 Dw. I would have thought you would have started with this and then ruled it out, right? And if so how different were the results?

PC is buying into a trend on a breakout of a pullback. It's THAT simple!. The diff between PC and what you suggest is where the breakout occurs. PC is taking the brakout from the pullback, what you are suggesting is taking the breakout based on the lowest D1 price, which is the same as checking for the lowest price over the past month and taking that. There are EA's out there that do this, the lookback period is the variable that is optimised for how far back to look to determine the breakout price.pipcruiser » Sun Feb 01, 2015 1:15 pm wrote:Don't understand your question fully, but in general not really. PC is basic price action, no settings to adjust or guess at other than stops and targets.

Thanks PC, no I wasn't referring to TFs, was referring to the direction of the D1 in the "MN, W1, D1".AnotherBrian » Sun Feb 01, 2015 6:32 pm wrote:PC is buying into a trend on a breakout of a pullback. AnotherBrian, cheers buddy, PC's entry makes sense, no doubt. I just wanted to know about how much of a difference are we talking about between the two. PC's entry - breakout of a pullback, vs breakout of a continuation. I guess best way to really know would be set up another demo and then compare the results.
Got 3 demos running for Pipmasher on my laptop, plus 4 for my own EA which I may discontinue as Pipmasher seems like it might be all I'll ever need.
Cheers.

Cheers! - Why not do a manual backtest? you'll get your answer sooner than waiting for demo results.Angat » Sun Feb 01, 2015 3:35 pm wrote:Thanks PC, no I wasn't referring to TFs, was referring to the direction of the D1 in the "MN, W1, D1".AnotherBrian » Sun Feb 01, 2015 6:32 pm wrote:PC is buying into a trend on a breakout of a pullback. Cheers.
I manually back tested PC on UJ this weekend to see what happens when the trend ends it price starts to range. It's more insightful than simply running the EA for a while.

Ah Pipmasher backtests for you? It didn't for me, I'll try again later. Thanks.
EDIT: It seems it was trading hours that was preventing it from working in the tester. Anyway I made them blank and it works.
Can someone just enlighten me very quickly why we would set at a 0.10 to 0.25 window over lets say 24 hour trading? Just briefly what would the bot do in each situation.
Thank you! :hi:

hey all
dont know if im stating the obvious here, but there has been a pipcruiser GAMA like version coded , with multiple pendings option:
http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =89&t=4047
check the settings templates in the second post and use the 2003 template.
seems to be yielding good results as you can see macmans post on p8:
