It is a reminder that you should never change a TF on a chart running an EA, doing so you will always restart and reinitialize the EA, what could have negative influence on the EA running and it's results.
The TF does not matter with the latest version, previous versions needed to be set on TF H4.

I can't believe it.

You're correct, I did look at global prime but was hoping for a broker a little closer to home (UK). I do not like bank transfers as they are tedious and take time plus the transfer fees involved.

I also find a little comfort in the FSCS guaranteed £50,000 per customer insurance provided by some UK brokers.

However I have just opened a demo Empty4 account with Global Prime to check it out.

I notice they do not have indices available to trade on their Empty4 platform

which is a shame as I sometimes day trade the DAX 30 & FTSE 100 manually.

Ok I got my demo up and running trading USDGBP EURUSD USDJPY USDCAD EURGBP USDCHF with following EA setup:

Code: Select all

Use_SetBEAndJumpset true
TakeProfit 300
StopLosss 75
BEProfit 4
JumpStep 20
SLMinDistanceToPrice 20

Hopefully this setting will lock in some profits this time round and perform much better than my 1st attempt. If all goes well I will change to a less conservative setup.

If any other people are using this EA in demo or a real account it would be good to compare setups and results.

*Let my newbie mistake be a warning to others if you open a trade on your brokers Empty4 platfrom and it states something a long the lines of "open price you set must differ from market price by at least 80 points" CHANGE YOUR BROKER TO A 0 PIPS ONE!*

I am trying this EA as well..I have it on a 30/60 setup...with USDJPY 50/75..it will either hit the s/l orm t/p

Hi Soc283,

Cheers for letting me know i'm not alone on my quest.

I really like the trading strategy on paper, I love the simplicity of it.

Lets hope, more people take notice and comment and we can all compare notes to fine tune and tweak EA to find its sweet spot.

Keep me posted on your progress.

Hi All,

I found this forum after following the Babypips thread on the 3 LP strategy and looking for an EA to take the trades. Looks like I've come to the right place

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to EA settings etc though so would be grateful for some advice. I've managed to load the EA onto the charts but am in need of some clarification for the settings. Is there a thread which explains all the various abbreviations etc? The main query is how the exits are made, is it via a fixed SL or a trailing stop?

Happy to make a contribution to this as it appears to be just what I'm looking for. Also be looking to share my results once I'm happy I have the EA set up properly. I'm using the 8 pairs recommended on the 3 LP's author's website, Forex Useful.

you can try the EA OOTB (means with the setting it comes with), just change the lotsize that it matches with your account equity. The EA uses trailing and a close function that closes the trade like in first post described...
