Gday: a D1 Stochastic OB/OS trading robot

Those recommendations came from my post a while back, based on my Tradestation tests. I implemented an approximation of Shelley's system, not precisely the same as the current EA, but I think it's close enough to be a valid comparison.

Be aware, however, that the good/bad/ugly pairs didn't seem to be real stable. I'm really not sure how well the "Good pairs" will continue to operate in the future.

It would be interesting to see how it's performed in the 4 months since I made that post. Unfortunately I think I broke my TS system. I'm seeing poor results e.g. for AUDUSD and CADCHF, even before last December, and those were two of my "good" pairs.

Sometime in my copious free time I'll see if I can fix it and repeat the test...

Maybe this is a stupid question but what do I have to do to exit a trade at once and not in 3 parts?
I noticed that the first exit most of the time is more profitable than the second or third. Very often the second and third part of the trade are closed at the same time.

Thanks, kelisa. I am using Finfx as my criminal. Since I am in the US, I don't have many options.

I see most of the people have trades opened, but I don't get any trades. I wonder why.

Sometimes thats due to the criminals. Different criminals have different datas..

Kenboi, I'm also with Finfx and was never able to get this bot to trade.
It's odd, because all of Master Steve's other bots work fine on Finfx.

Great trades..

May I know how do you choose which pair to include this EA? I kinda use the "Good Pairs" and missed out the USDJPY.

Also, can you post a picture of the pair which is currently have an open trade. Just waana see you settings on this baby.

Lets wait a bit longer and see if there's a signal for us from the stochastic indi. Remember, it's a daily chart ea trading so the signal doesn't come that often. I personally don't feel ease when there's not a single trade in 5 days. I had just opened a few more pairs to see if I get my first trade. Good luck.

G'day! Thanks for the interest. I haven't spent a lot of time on this yet. Most all of my time is spent trading & working on my own programme (http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 3204#p3204).

All the information on Page 1 (Thanks Steve ) sets everything up.
The *.set file I posted earlier shows my methodology.

This EA doesn't trade frequently so you often won't see trades for a while, unless you trade a lot of pairs.

However Monday should be busy. If I understand the logic correctly (enter long when 8-bar stoch goes under 20 then over 25, enter short when it goes over 80 then under 75), we should see entries in AUDCHF, CHFJPY, EURAUD, EURJPY, and GBPAUD. Throw an 8,3,3 stoch on a D1 chart and you can see this for yourself. Look at the value of the Signal line.

I downloaded this EA on Tuesday or Wednesday on FXCM of last week and didn't get trades yet as well, but I suspect it is working since it is a daily system. We'll see how this week goes.

Thanks, garyfritz. I will watch those pairs closely and see how this EA works. Btw, doesn't the EA checks for the AllAverage indicator as well. For example, if the price is below the MA indi with confirmation on the stoch indi, it will trigger a sell and for buy it's the opposite. Not sure if that's exactly what the EA does. When I get some trades, I will then observe more about this EA. Thanks, again.
