Thanks Dudest. What would this pattern be described as? Was it one that the Captain mentioned in this massive thread somewhere? (still trawling through)

It's a volume trap, aka Trapping Volume (TV)

There are a few references within the thread [ http://bit.ly/1J83Zj4 ]

Apart from trading the boundaries, tells you that price is being coiled in order to spring out in one direction for some time when the trapping is done. The higher the TF, the bigger the impact

There's a chance it's going down to form 'c' at 61.8
