HGI + Tom DeMark TrendLine

Hi all,

First of all, i want to say a lot of thanks for Steve, for putting us together in this forum. For Bob, Ellixe, Milanese, Baluda, and thousands of traders who have contributed to HGI. And for renexxxx, for the HGI Matrix.

As for myself, i was just a silent reader, since the day this forum born, well actually i've been silence in ForexFactory Nanningbob V5.

I'm a big fans of 10.6 EDSEL, and Tom DeMark TrendLine (TDMTL). I've been using those combination on D1 chart, for a few months, until I find HGI. Throughout the trial and error, I am now, quite satisfy with the performance of HGI. But, I'll be feel ashamed, if I don't share any thought, or suggestion, to this forum, after some trial I did. (I'm not a coder, so I do my trading system manually)

So, here I am, introducing you the combination, that now I've used for the last few weeks, which I found may optimize the performance for HGI pending order.

Basically, It still the same basic concept as the HGI (btw, I'm using HGI v17.00), the only difference is where I'll put my pending order. Therefore, if you haven't understand how HGI or TDMTL work, please visit, http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... p?p=105044 first. I'll explain it, with imaginary cases (Steve's style):

1. Let's say, HGI show BUY Signal (Big Green Arrow, Blue Wavy, or Green RAD Arrow), inside the TDMTL. Then instead of putting a pending order in the next +20 line, I'll wait for the candle to close and breakthrough the TDMTL, and put the pending order, on the high point of the previous candle. And close the order, after 5 candles (well, I know it's debatable, but I found this quite true).

2. Let's say, HGI show BUY Signal (Big Green Arrow, Blue Wavy, or Green RAD Arrow), outside the TDMTL. Then put the pending order, on the high point of the previous candle.

I think it's enough for you, to get the point, on how this system work. The same goes for the SELL Signal. But this system didn't go very well with range signal (Yellow Wavy / small arrow). But I suppose, it will give the signal inside the TDMTL, and will end just before it touch the TDMTL Line, where you'll close your order.

Well, that's all I can share for now. Please share any suggestions, for this system approach. And i'll appreciate for anyone who might want to code an EA for this system.

This sounds cruel but ask yourselves this folks:

Do you know what the 'Tom DeMark TrendLine' indi is telling you?

I don't, and I have been around for a while. Don't even begin to imagine for even one second that it has found a magical way of defining 'the trend'. If it did, we would all be rich and not contributing here. It hasn't so we aren't.

Moving on, did the op tell you what the 'Tom DeMark TrendLine' indi is telling him?

Did he offer a grid of successful manual trades?

I could go on but cannot be bothered.

Fact is, this thread might attract attention and I am not prepared to allow this to continue.

OP, you have to do better than this rubbish to attract favourable attention here. Luckily for you, your registration here survives. Do not expect such mercy following a second infantile thread.
