Using TJF settings from page 22. 4H trigger.

What is your MPTM setting like? Mine is using BE at 25 pips, BE profit at 10 pips and 50% partial closure at 25pip BE trigger
Do you also have any trading timing set into TJF setting like a certain window of trading?
Sticking with that TJF setting does have some runaway open trade which i had to murder as it grew quite a gap already from initial opening. Still testing when is the best timing to close all the orders, at the end of european session or at the end of NY session.

anyway, i am getting a fairly decent gain since monday till now at 21.52% (3 days), with DD peaked at 16% due to experimenting on the right session for runaway order closure.

I am also going to try on a more conservative MPTM setting like using only 10 pips for BE trigger and BE profit at 5 pips. It was rather successful previously on a more lenient MAD-EA moving average setup, but having pullback is a headache.

Test 3 days, 0.01L, use MTPM in page 10.
Set in post 6 profit 40, floating 27
Set in post 17 profit 18, floating -13

I suggest renexxxx 2 things.

1. I want to test other settings but the CPU of my VPS have reach 100%.
I think it's cause from MAD-EA. It possible to optimize MAD-EA to consume CPU less than this?
I set parameter
ShowDashboard = false
CycleTimeSeconds = 10

2. Please add daily profit trigger parameter. If daily profit reach EA will not open trade anymore.

Both of those set files have the lookback minutes set to 10080, which is 168 hours (7 trading days). If you can reduce that a bit your VPS CPU will thank you. I think the default setting is 240.

Also on your Empty4 platform check how many bars are being loaded on each chart (tools > options, charts tab). Having a huge number of bars on your charts is a big drain on computer resources.

I reduce loopback to 2880 (2days) the CPU load decrease.
Plan to test other settings.

Both of those set files have the lookback minutes set to 10080, which is 168 hours (7 trading days). If you can reduce that a bit your VPS CPU will thank you. I think the default setting is 240.

Also on your Empty4 platform check how many bars are being loaded on each chart (tools > options, charts tab). Having a huge number of bars on your charts is a big drain on computer resources.

No, MAD-EA is written in a scripting language (MQL) and other than re-writing it into C or C++, there is no way to speed it up. However, you have to use reasonable parameter settings. As mentioned in this post, look at the settings for CycleTimeSeconds, LookBackMinutes and avoid TMAs if you can.

You are welcome to switch the "Close Trades (true/false)" setting to false, and use any of the many trade managers generously provided free of charge on this forum, to manage your trades. Once we are getting good results with one particular exit strategy, I will add it to the MAD-EA code.

I am basically just using ATR to decide everything for me. I am currently testing a daily ATR at 2x for tp and 1x for sl with be and js at 1.5 4h

Running since monday till now, results below from using a TFJ set. One very strange observation, not sure if anyone else having this too...

All my trades are BUY order. Zero on sell. Take note that my total number of trades here may look high due to having MPTM closing partial (50%) on certain pips, and doing that again on remaining lot. (Started with 0.2 per order). Thats about 27 base order in total done by this EA.

anyone having this odd single trade direction only? i am quite sure that the EA setup is to go long and short positions..

Bizmark, I am running a demo with TJF's H4 set file from page 22 and i am getting both buy and sells.
In fact, today has been more sells than buys
