Thanks very much. I thought that would be the case, but sometimes I tend to over-think things, got to keep things simple...

Closed trades manually to end the week. Testing both hedging and non-hedging methods on 2 brokerage accounts. Both I closed in profit, but the hedging EA is the clear winner, hands down!

Well done!

Yes I think when one says they have found the Holy Grail, another would say hmmm!

But I think Steve and the team have really done it with this one.
During NFP naturally the market was spiking all over the place and my normal gut reaction would be to close in profit just before the NFP release!

But I told myself "trust the EA to do its job!" And I left it alone...

It was good to see HGB'nG go deep into DD, and then pull itself out of the hole it was in, to profit greatly.

I will continue the month out "Hands Free" on demo, and if it continues this way, I will be definitely be going live on both my trading accounts... I don't want to be earning a lovely profit on demo, and miss many opportunities for the year ahead.

This EA is the best I ever seen...

Hi, I am running "only stop orders" HGBnG v2d and see that Semafor signal does not do what is supposed to do. I attached picture and my set file just to confirm that my settings are OK. 3Level Indi has 34 period selected. Could someone look in? Do you experiance similar things. thanks

You have CloseTradesOnRelevantSemafor=false. this is your problem. Set this to True.

Hi guys,

krzysiekqq2 : There is indeed a 3 level low semafor signal on the chart, but your group of sell trades is 7 pips in the hole (-7), and under "3 level semafor inputs" you have "CloseOnlyInPositivePips" enabled, so HGB'nG isn't supposed to close your trades. But if you turn positive, your trades will then be closed.

peepaws : "CloseTradesOnRelevantSemafor" waits for the close of the candle in order to close trades, and that if the 3 level semafor signal is still valid. "CloseImmediatelySemaforAppears" closes them as soon as the signal emerges, as long as the other conditions are also met ("CloseOnlyInPositivePips" etc.).

Wow, Kevin, thanks a lot for clarification. I follow this EA from beggining and I was under impression that it means to close only trades being in positive pips and not PipsUpl. Still under learning curve.

Kevin, I analysed further your note and it is -7pips in the picture, but Semafor Signal was generated when I had 2 possitions in profit and pips were both positive. Something else is causing this, do not you think? Cheers,

Hmm. Can't figure out why it wouldn't work. My trades on AUDJPY today were closed successfully on a high semafor signal and Steve's GBPUSD trades also closed out.

Do you have the latest version installed? Try restarting your platform and setting HGB'nG again on your charts.

You need to beware of assuming that something has gone wrong because of faulty coding rather than a failure of understanding on your part. This is not a huge problem here because the code is fairly new, but try to imagine my reaction to you questioning code that has worked flawlessly and seamlessly for years on end.

Hmmmmmm. Having written that "This is not a huge problem here because the code is fairly new" it has shown itself to be robust today. Maybe you are doing something wrong?

Feel free to ask out your settings here. Perhaps just be a tad on the careful side when suggesting the code is wrong?
