Been a few days since anyone posted on here, you guys must be making so many pips it has struck you all dumb
Or more likely is that you are seeing some draw-down and think that the system has no legs. On that point I would have to disagree, remember this is a testing system and I think that we all agree that DD with this system can be quite daunting.
Having spent a fair bit of time looking at this problem I firmly believe that the only aspect this system needs now is a viable Stop Loss function to reduce the hefty draw-downs.
Where possible I have manually been closing down trades whenever 3 grids have triggered irrespective of direction on the furthest grid from the last activation.
Let me explain, say the grid goes down 3 grids, upon the activation of the 3rd grid a Stop is placed at the first sell grid.
Price goes down one grid and up two grids, SL placed at the first Sell grid. If price goes up 3 grids SL placed at first buy grid, price goes up 4 grids SL placed at 2nd grid and so on a bit like a trailing SL.
A good example of this is today's GBPNZD Chart, price went down one grid @ GP time 0400, price then retraced and hit second buy grid @ 0700, at this time a SL would be activated and place at the Sell grid activation. Price went up to 3rd buy grid, SL moved to first buy activation, then just jumped up one grid at a time as each subsequent buy trade was activated, this trade went onto win without ever bothering the SL
Now the reason I believe this may work is due to the huge amount of trades which hit TP with no problems, also there is a high probability that every trade will be closed either for a loss or win by the end of the day enabling fresh trades to recoup the small amount of losses.
