What I will do is keep the demo I have running with independent offsetting and setup a new one tonight with offsetting disabled on each of the HGBnG EA's and RnR and use GridMaster for the closing.

We can then compare both side by side. If it looks worthwhile at the end of this week I will setup a new thread over the weekend to invite further thoughts / testing and refinements to this idea since it embodies work from three separate threads.

Here is the result for past two days using GridMaster to offset trades placed by RnR and HGBnG M5. It's a positive result although surprisingly the independently offsetting demo delivered far more. I've written a detailed post in the RnR thread but wanted to post my results here relating to GridMaster in case there is any interest to pursue this further...

Thinking about this last night there is one more thing I am going to try here. Using GridDancer with directional bias alongside RnR on the same account with collective offsetting between the two.

This test has been quite interesting with significantly less draw down than my RnR/HGBnG combo during the 1000pip move on GBPJPY so far this week.

I realized that I can run a much higher lot size safely on Grid dancer as it is not such a trading tart as HGBnG (on M5) so will need to let this run for the rest of the week to get a balanced picture on the equity but for now closed trades looks good. I am just using a 240MA on M1 as the directional guide for GridDancer which seems to be working well.

I am also going to separate the offsetting so that RnR and GridDancer are just managing their own to see what difference this makes.

On the directional bias, the Grid Dancer is silent if MA is used. Its is up, down, both or get automatic direction. How did you do it?

I have been following most of your post but find it difficult to understand. I am confused.

Testing GridDancer against HGBnG has been interesting this week.

HGBnG with GridMaster closing has performed best and also better than another test I am running with HGBnG offsetting on it's own.

Magic 1 HGBnG Long
Magic 2 HGBnG short
Magic 3 GridDancer.

(1001 - 1003 are different versions of RnR I am also testing independently)

I used a separate version of GridMaster for HGBnG and GridDancer trades.
