Well at least we now know why you are seeing such huge Draw Downs and explains a great deal.. Now when you are trading this and see little piddly Draw Downs you'll hopefully feel a lot more comfortable.KeithM » Wed Sep 21, 2016 1:15 pm wrote:I am setting my lots using a trade manager EA. 1% for 2 x H1 ATR(20). I have just re-read your original post and see that you are using Daily range!!! Haha. That's what demo is for
Mine were AUDUSD 0.46, EURUSD 0.46 , GBPUSD 0.25, NZDUSD 0.38, USDCHF 0.45, USDCAD 0.33, USDJPY 0.19

Gertje, glad to see that your results are akin to mine despite the minor differences.Gertje » Wed Sep 21, 2016 1:08 pm wrote:Closed my basket as well.
I had a hard feeling about today, because I missed 2 candles to enter on, and thus missed the start of the retrace of the JPY.
All in all it worked out, 140 trades closed for profit.
Your picture you posted shows a LOSS???? Confused

That was the list with open orders, that gets updated once every minute.....Zennor » Wed Sep 21, 2016 12:35 pm wrote:

The indi in the upper right corner shows the profit for every day.
It took a while for Empty4 to close the 140 trades, so it didn't reach the full 1.5% that triggered the closing.

Gertje, thank god for that because there's not a million miles between the way we are trading this...Gertje » Wed Sep 21, 2016 1:18 pm wrote:Zennor,
Keith uses 0.3 lots for a 10K account..... Hence the DD.
My DD was 4.1% at the max today.
Anyhoo all cleared up now time to move on with the forward testing...

I'll make a small change starting tomorrow.
I will skip the 9h00 candle, and start entering at the top of the hour after I'm behind a computer.
Most of the time this will be the 11h00 candle, or 1 hour after LO.
For sure we can bring this home, it's to easy to fail.

Thanks for the clarification, I know what you mean regarding not banking 1.5%, hence the last few days I had my Basket set to 1.6 to make a slight allowance, a bit of in the hand of the gods. Some days the trades moving well into money close first and you don't hit 1.5% dead on, other days they are the last ones closed and you make more than 1.5%. Should in the fullness of time equal itself out..Gertje » Wed Sep 21, 2016 1:46 pm wrote:It took a while for Empty4 to close the 140 trades, so it didn't reach the full 1.5% that triggered the closing.

Difference in ping is huge, both GP demo's running on a different VPS;
VPS [Netherlands based]: 77.11ms
Beeks [NY based]: 0.67ms
