I see some similarities with CJ's first post...

It's a very interesting idea for me that you have, the lower time frames do expand into the larger, so that would be linear, I guess, and the lower time frame pattern is the smaller one on your single time frame move..sfeng1 » Mon Feb 13, 2017 6:05 am wrote:Time and time again in this thread have people referenced CJ's very first image of the A-K pattern on the EG.
But how many people actually dug back to historical datas to figure out where it came from? The A-K pattern had already been completed on a smaller time-frame, on the entire move, from 1/18/2013 to 1/24/2013.
This is what i've been pondering about "growing patterns", which i posted as a question in this forum looking for guidance, but was instead quite shot down. There are many who have much more experience than me in this aspect, i merely wanted to leave the open-ended question of whether others have seen such things.
CJ mentions a pattern "matures" from the tick-chart. I see it very clearly as these patterns, but one question i have is whether these patterns are linear (such as in these patterns like a ripple turning into a tsunami), or recursive (such as looped within a loop? if that makes sense).
I hope someone may clear up my confusion :hi:
Why would you look at the tick charts if patterns mature and show up on higher TFs? By logic, you should be able to find the pattern on lower TFs, no need to find the source pattern on the tick chart and work your way up. You trade what you see right in front of you and not trade something that will happen again some time later.woodlands » Mon Feb 13, 2017 7:03 pm wrote:

Is this 'price mapping' to take the tick chart and run it forward ?
Assume you are walking on a plain. Any sign of a mountain? Nothing.. You walk further on, there is a slope. Wow, that could be a part of a mountain! You walk on and it is still up, on a slope. Slope after slope make up a mountain. Does the slope repeat? Yes, it does, on the same TF (dawidforex). Does it grow up to be a mountain? Yes, from where you started walking up the slope. Is a km long slope similar to a 4 km long slope? Yes, just compress one to see the other. Where does the mountain originate? Where the plain ends and the landscape starts to change. When something matures into.. it means part of to me. How far should you go back to look for the building blocks of a bigger structure? I think as far as the foot of the mountain.sfeng1 » Mon Feb 13, 2017 6:05 am wrote:Time and time again in this thread have people referenced CJ's very first image of the A-K pattern on the EG.

^ This! Why do you need to price map if the cycles and levels from PH and PL is within the price maps - you just need to trade these. KingJay takes it one step further and says the only trade to take is to L2 after the cycle is complete and at PH or PL.WhoKnows » Tue Feb 14, 2017 12:27 pm wrote:From what I remember CJ stressed that people should forget about longer term mapping as it was too difficult. He advised that focus on learning the skills to trade the immediate cycle levels from PH and PL.

just a guess but i imagine he made a crap ton of pips from using them together and a map doesn't necessarily contain a cycle.Captain Jack » Thu Sep 29, 2016 5:35 pm wrote:And if anybody wishes to fact check these patterns, they are CONTINUOUS.... that is why all you need is one map to provide you with whatever you need in life.
Any doubts, just follow the H1 and H4 patterns from the marked areas of my posted charts. I won't take the time to post them for you, I know where they go.
