You can set it to 1 and may be we need a different MA lookup TF.

This reintroduces SJ responding to the SleepMinsAfterBasketClosure input.

Not sure how useful this is. Here is the nub of the problem:
  • 1) SJ judges that conditions are correct for sending a basket and does so.
    2) markets move in the direction of the basket.
    3) there is a brief retrace and the basket hits its jumping sl.
    4) SJ snoozes for a while, then wakes up.
    5) retrace was brief and the markets continued on their merry way whilst SJ be being a well-behaved bone-idle good-for-nothing.
    6) SJ spots that conditions are right for sending a basket and does so. We are back at 1) but after a huge market move that is just begging for a retrace.
So guys, here is the challenge. Suggest a reset key that I cannot show will not work in reality and I will adopt it.

1. Markets move to opposite (top) TMA.
2. 5.1 MA is triggered (short) by touching / going below the 5.1 MA
3. RESET.
4. No more trades until the current basket is closed AND price moves above the 5.1 MA again. Once price is above the 5.1 MA again then the next short trigger is when price touches / goes below the 5.1MA for another move down. Price must also obviously be confirmed still at top TMA then we are good to go for another one.
Please note I am no longer affiliated with Global Prime. I've moved on to my next adventure with Afterprime.

You can also include Bob 10.2A to control Price return under Daily Pivot < WP < MP for a sell. I have test this with ForexTester and first result is good on 5 first months 2012 -> + 6861pips.

It isn't that simple guys. Fact is, if the trading conditions are still in place when the basket closes for any reasons, then the trading conditions are still in place.

The challenge is to tell SJ to trade when the trading conditions are in place but we do not want it to trade. You can state that any condition must have been reset, but if that condition is met within the timescale SJ is looking back over, then the trading condition is in place.

Any ideas that can be coded into the bot?

In an another EA, i'm using a flag array TradingOK [NbPaire]. I set each pair to NO after a close (you need to detect SL and TP closes in history) and I reset flag to YES only at the next beginning of the session. Is that what you're looking at ? if no, please explain again..and in french please

OK, SJ opened a sell on GBPUSD last night at T open, then sell EURNZD at L open this morning. The basket closed for a small gain a little while ago, but since then it is stuck in a loop of opening and immediately closing EURNZD (obviously for a small loss each time, though not so small when it has done a 100 or so times :D ).

I removed it and readded it with the same set file, and it does the same again. I changed the settings so that the session open and closes don't overlap, and it seems OK (has reopened the EURNZD position). Should these settings not overlap at all??

Could you not set the look back time to be somewhat dynamic i.e. if the look back time is set to 90 minutes then when the EA is added at 08:00 it sets "look back time" to 06:30 to see if condition have been met and changes that every minute so 08:01 "look back time" = 06:31 etc. Then when a basket closes "look back time" = "basket close time" - it never has to look back any further than basket close time as we are looking for newly met conditions?

Hopefully haven't missed the point but it's quite possible

EURNZD, same here, except I left for dinner, and came back to see a 80% reduction in my demo account balance :o
