Need help with rdp iPad to VPS

I’m not sure if i’m asking this in the right place, but here it goes.

I access my VPS by using Rdesktop on my iPad.
Today, after updating to iOS 11.2.2 my mouse cursor is no longer visible.
The pad is there, the mouse functions still work, but the mouse itself doesn’t show.

Any suggestions?
What rdp app would you recommend if rdesktop (pro) can’t be fixed?

No better place to ask than SHF. You have substantial kudos here and can ask whatever you want.

Mind, whilst the individual words make sense, the overall sense eludes me and I have no idea what you are talking about. I am just trying to attract some attention here.

Any help on offer, folks?

Hey Gertje,

If you can logon via another PC, try enabling mouse pointer shadows in control panel on the VPS.

Appreciate it.

@Tomele; I know, I know...

It's just that the ipad is handy to drag around and peek at the charts when on route.

@Radar; didn't work, the pointer is really gone. Just like the colour is set to 'none'.
I ordered a Citix X1 mouse, that is able to connect via bluetooth with the ipad and some RDP client.
