I should do that. I've been using one centralized "experts" folder, with symlinks from all Empty4 instances to that central folder. It works but there are some funky behaviors. Using something like SyncBack would keep everything in sync without confusing Empty4.

I didn't know about the compatibility problems, but here's what I do to help manage the confusion of multiple Empty4 instances across multiple machines. (I rent a VPS to run tests). .

this sounds like what i'd like to do except use my server to host everything and only use it as my 'cloud', i was wondering if you have any latency issues using your method. I would think that any one of your services go's down, like 'no connection' or bad packets etc etc, has it happened to you? especially when the markets go crazy.

also, have you run an arbitrage EA this way? i ask this as the ea is very, very dependant on a very fast connection to the criminal otherwise can get you into very bad whipsaws or DD.

There is software to run a setup like yours with-in my network and this is the way i think i will move forward, if you are using Empty4 this way, then it must be. I dont have fibre links between my systems, but a full gigabit is more than fast enough for me with SSD's and a REVO drive for my main PC.

The sync-back is done for software development (sync .mq4) and run manually, so if the 'Internets' is down, I just wait. So far Google Drive has been good. The VPS provider isn't that good (i've had random reboots that they don't apologize for), but if I were trading alot of real money I'd go with somebody else at a higher price.

BTW I have never traded Empty4 live, haven't yet found a reliable enough strategy. I think running an arbitrage strategy with something as crappy and unreliable as Empty4 is dangerous. Especially when the crims go down for hours at a time, one leg which closed and another didn't?
