Currently +400 - 124 which is still 31% will see what happens when all the moving averages turn and profits are banked.

The indicator at the bottom switches as the MA changes direction, currently set to 10 to firstly cut short any losses and more importantly let any profits run. I think its currently set too high and this setup will give back a lot. However I will reduce the MA value to try and get a sweet spot. Probably wont work but worth a try.

margin call reached ml 119.99%, equity: 939.90 AUD, margin: 783.29 AUD, profit: 150.99 AUD :cheer:
You may find this MA setup useful, 5EMA with a shift of 2.

I wonder should we try a hard stop for losses of around 40 pips rather than let the MA decide

This pair stalled and now going even higher

Try it on a few charts, it works really well to keep you in to get profit and out without leaving too much on the table.

@ c1borg : do i understand it right - the trades are closed when the ma changes the direction? Not when price crosses the ma ? I am thinking about using Milaneses APTM to close all trades when a recross of a faster ma happens. I will set up a few demos with different pip values for the grid.
Your idea looks good so far.

Correct it's the close level on the close of the candle is higher or lower than the previous one.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

All profits now banked, some quick analysis shows I need a faster reacting MA (I have a good candidate ;) in mind) for example NZDCHF left around 30 pips per trade on the table 5*30=150 extra pips we should have banked  However on the plus side we did bank 490 pips on this trade

So total we should have banked 640 pips 23% missed profit :x
