Hello, Thomas!
I use this inputs
- AbnormalSpreadThreshold
- PossibleStopHuntThreshold
I think it’s good to have such controls when spreads are widening.

Which values do you set them to?

Hello Thomas,
I'm also a fan of the input AbnormalSpreadThreshold for scalping purposes.
Best regards,
Max

Please keep the scaling. For some reason the default settings cause the fonts and numerals to overlap on my displays and tdesk would become unusable if scaling were removed.tomele » Sun Nov 15, 2020 3:49 pm wrote:Hi @all.
In preparation for the release of TDesk 7, I want to get rid of some unnecessary inputs. Thus my question to all TDesk users: Whoever uses (modifies) one of the following inputs, please sing out:
- AbnormalSpreadThreshold
- PossibleStopHuntThreshold
- ScaleX
- ScaleY
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Thomas
Thanks SO MUCH for your contribution!

Hi @all.
Thanks for your feedback (here or per PM). Much appreciated.
I have learned from @andcoo that ScaleX and ScaleY inputs are vital if you set your general Windows aspect ratio to something above 100%. This wasn't the intended use for these inputs, but great to hear they solve a problem I didn't think of.
I also learned that some of you indeed change the spread alert thresholds to fine-tune TDesk to their needs.
The inputs will stay in place.
Cheers

Hi, Thomas!
Can you please add some buttons/functions to TDesk?
1. Main stop trade button - which switches StopTrading (true/false)
2. green-red button on each pair, switches stoptrading on each pair, yes it would require adding some arrays, I can send some code...
3. close trades on each pair, that will close with the promt open trades on chosen pair.
If these mods will interest you, I can always send you the code, that supports these buttons.
BR,
Isabek.

Hi Isabek.
The idea of trading buttons is as old as TDesk. I have always rejected it because
TDesk does not trade
It would be possible to implement some buttons that influence TDesk's decision making process like blocking signal changes manually similar to spread and news blocks. TDesk could also be triggered manually to send EXIT signals to whatever trading drone is working in the background, but what happens then? How long will the exit signal be valid? Not to speak of TDesk closing trades itself. Imagine the confusion caused for the poor trading drone.
The main question is what those button would accomplish that is not already automated in TDesk? Maybe there is a rare trading situation that could be solved much more elegantly?
However, I will probably give it another thought, but not for the upcoming TDesk 7 release.
Thanks for offering your code to me. I suppose you have taken some old dashboard version off one of Steve's experts and modified it to your needs. Well done, but why haven't you published it yet? With respect to TDesk, I would say you greatly under-estimate its complexity. The changes mentioned above would require more than "adding some arrays". A lot more. And I would probably implement them differently GUI-wise.
Stay well.
