So far so good! Cut losing trades short, let profits run! I am liking the positive equity on my Demo account, very promising indeed.
Just a bit worried about 2023 expiry of EA.
Will an update occur to extend / eliminate expiry please?

Hello,
First I would like to thank Steve, Thomas, Leon and the great contributors in this board and system.
I have a question, may be a newbie one, I am trying this great system on demo accounts on one broker and have a huge different performance (although using the same set files and templates), I wonder if any of you had the same odd behavior or an explanation for this behavior.
below is 2 screenshots of the 2 accounts that had same settings
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Read the effing manual, ok?
Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.
I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. [email protected] is the account.

Let me explain some basics:
Most EAs don't react on every single tick, but run in a timed loop that calculates all things every xx seconds/minutes. When you start two identical experts, they will never run their calculations at the same millisecond.
Now if your incoming signals are based on open candles, they can switch forth and back very fast. Your screenshots were taken with one minute offset and many of your signals had changed inbetween, although they are based on higher timeframes like H4 and D1. Trading open candles is a gamble.
Same applies to your orders. The experts will never fire them in the same moment. Inbetween, the market will definitely have moved. This will make a difference for your entries as well as for your pending orders. And a tiny difference of pending order prices can make a huge difference when one order is triggered and the other is not.
That's just the way things work. On the long run, these differences should level out.
Hope this helps.

Just to reinforce what Thomas wrote two posts up, here is what happened to me yesterday.
Running Scalpy on the same FX VPS are my two live accounts, with current balances of: $11,246 trading 0.1 lots with a TPof $100; $606 trading 0.01 lots with a TP of $10.
Yesterday, the larger account had a high of $94 before falling back and being taken out at BE +$26. The smaller one hit its TP of $10.
Predictable, this stuff ain't.
I use this purely for illustration. No further discussion about Scalpy here, please.

@ Bluepanther, Thanks for trying this system. The idea in fact was to cut losers quickly and get into into longer term trades. Hope all is still well.
@ love2success thanks for trying this system and to Steve and Thomas thanks for filling in for me with crystal clear explanations.
Thomas makes a good point. I have never really tried my system with closed candles but on current open candles for the signals to fire off. Perhaps something to consider for future testing.
I am still making headway with my testing and waiting for good stats to share here.
Have a great weekend Folks.
Cheers
