Hi Wally I am running ADX set without timeframe now.wallywonka wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 11:26 am Thanks Ice, Just curious as to what timeframe you are running the ADX set as I noticed it's timeframe dependant.

Re: Goldy
So you are not running ADX at all? I'm confused as it has to have a timeframe, either chart or a set timeframe which affects the readings you get depending on the timeframe... I notice the set has ADX on and set to chart timeframe.icebrewer wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 11:33 amHi Wally I am running ADX set without timeframe now.wallywonka wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 11:26 am Thanks Ice, Just curious as to what timeframe you are running the ADX set as I noticed it's timeframe dependant.

That is the 'current' value i.e. the chart TF.wallywonka wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 12:34 pmSo you are not running ADX at all? Re: Goldy
weekly report 03 02up 03up 04up 05down 06 - 06 - 2025
02up Monday, v1e was doing great, but 1f had a huge drawdown. The conclusion made on Monday was the setting of ADX I set is around a bumpy line on Monday, making goldy trapped a bit into the sideway market when ADX index go above my setting then fall with more open trades. I will try to write a signal sending code to add in goldy, which can send me signals when ADX is below the desired level. In which way we might avoid this toilet leak situation.
03up Tuesday, another great day for v1e, constantly hittng the target and everything was cleaned up tidily when its trading time come to end. 1f was in a similar situation as Monday, as the market was a bit sticky on Tuesday. A 200-ish potential loss was occurred around US market opening, in the end solved with a major rise in market at 1715 and goldy was removed from demo thanks to RemoveAfterTP function.
04up Thursday, both up today. ADX was doing great for general pacific market, but had almost a dozen trades opened around 1000, although caught in a sideway condition, the loss was very minimum, around 3-5GBP (floating rapidly) so I instantly wipe all open trades. including the loss, over all equity gain was almost 5, goldy was set to rest for the rest of the day.
1e was doing great at pacific time market, but also caught in a sideway market after London opened market. I set a RemoveExpertAfterTP and it was removed after hitting a target. Around 7% up for 1e today.
05 06 There was a loss in the pacific market on 05 for v1e, and ADX was not trading at the same market due to market sideways, which triggers me to shut both down after London market on 5th of June and no operations were taken on 6th due to NFP release.
v1e: v1f with ADX:
Wish all a happy weekend
Best,
ice

Re: Goldy
A really good week for me last week. Early days I know, but ice's use of ADX made a huge difference.
ice has also coded an additional enhancement to ADX. We shall release this tomorrow.
