Hi Pooler,

Are you trading live with the settings you posted earlier?

I have been testing this for last 2 days, the only bad trade was a USDJPY that went to 0.5 but closed in profit this afternoon.

I hope that this thread can continue as I see real potential here especially if we can find ways to limit the drawdown.

Anyway, thanks for posting the EA.

Cheers.

I need to re-read that post when I'm more sober, er, I mean awake. Shorted my synapses trying to understand the logic :?

Nevertheless, thanks for sharing Pooler.

Keep well.

My Results this week. Sorry this is a bit long.

I ran on Axi Trader, in Australia. 28 markets.
Lots are 0.1
Started this before Pooler released Setting 2. So they are run on setting given before then :- All TP% lvls at 60. OR Lvls 15, 15, 15, 22, 22, 30, 30, 30, 45, 45. Gold had a zero tacked on the end.

I set trade times to when I trade, so I could keep an eye on it. Start one hour before Aussie open – End at the start of the third hour of the US open. Axi is +3 so that’s 0200 to 1830.

I mucked around with 2 trades to see what would happen if I manually closed trades etc, that cost me $154.66 ( around 322 on gif ). Other than that it did it’s thing.

Next week I’ll run a new demo just off Setting 2, on Poolers trade times and the one I used. I’ll keep this one running as well, and for any new versions I’ll run a clean demo.

Something that would greatly interest me would be to be able to limit the EA to 1 buy cycle and sell cycle per market per trading session, and see how big an effect that has. Sometimes I got up to four trades from a single market, not a complaint, it won them all, but curious to see the difference if number of trades was controlled. Having some of the usual money management features we often see in EA’s on this fantastic forum would also be great fun to play with I’m sure. Was some good market variety this week to test this out IMO.

Total ( not counting the bit I made it lose ):- $2688.15 default lots 0.1
One trade open – floating P/L -$9.96

I am really quite impressed, thanks again Pooler

Your going to need a lot of money if you have only make $2k of $5M in 428 trades.

This is only a small sample. Yes this EA will work over a period of time but will burn you and take away all those profits at some stage. This needs to be solved or minimized to make this EA work.

What happens after the 10 levels anyway? Does it close them out for a loss?

This was just a test to get the ball rolling. Max Margin used 6-7000. This was not traded off % of account ( you seem to be suggesting that ), didn't get under 1000 floating profit, but I'm checking back through my screen shots to comfirm that. I take a screen shot every 30 sec's so i can find the worst it was at. I had 4or 5 trades get to lvl 5 during the week. On this test this week it would have survived at a 10000 account.

Of course you would not live trade it in the exact way i tested it. but test is the key word here. I think it shows that with correct protection, this has the ability to get back to a positive profit curve.

The 5 mill demo account did not change or alter the trades. would have had the same results on a 100000 demo account.

Edit:- for thoes that have not run this in a live demo yet, it only trades the levels once per trading session ( user defined ). Once traded they are gone for the rest of the session. I does not trade the same range over and over.

Edit :- first par ment to say 'didn't get under 1000 floating loss' ( not profit ) oops

Thanks, I guess my point is you would need to perhaps backtest a large time period to see what strife this EA gets itself in. My guess is the current EA won't last during says a 10 year test eg SNB or Yen intervention would kill it. Something needs to be changed to minimize these bad period and this is what Poolee is working on.
