Re: 10.4 A Complete System
The answer to that question is a yes or no. What I mean is the reason you have the S/R indis you have is so you can check to see how often a pair will go outside R1 S1 and what chances do you have of it going on to WMP (weekly mid pivot or higher). I took off all the other indis and here is what you see with just S1 R1. In the last 18 weeks 10 times it did and only 3 times would you have gotten more than one level. So you have a 50/50 chance at profit. If you play this bring your SL up quickly or play a tight SL. The more volatile trading pairs your chances would be higher but the less volatile pairs your chances go down.allisonmagic wrote:hey guys, can i get some feedback ? i just wanted to know if i setup this trade correctly. all criticisms are welcome lol

Steve's MPTM is not fully ready or tested yet so we do things manually. All my TP and SL are done manually until it is finished.

That depends on the broker. With Cowboy IBFX I look at about 25 pairs, I also have a small account with easy Forex but with their higher spreads I have only 8 pairs to trade.lhDT wrote:Thanks a million to write that booklet. Now, I get it
Can I ask you how many pairs you're watching for setups and how many setup you got in a week ?
Thanks,
Lio

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
If I can find a simple and easy way to do that I will try. Otherwise I will post trades from time to time. I am leaving tomorrow after closing for the USA so i dont know if I will comment much next week. Sorry. It was either post the basics now or wait until March. I havent given Frank, Baluda, Stever and some of the others time to get the indis and EAs ready but shoot after a 7% increase in my account in 3 days i couldnt resist posting it doing it manually. Yesterday I didnt get much but that is the breaks of Forex.forexripper wrote:Thanks Bob for a lovely system. As always, excellent and bravo are the words which come to mind for you when I read your booklets.
I suggest to better grasp the concepts and be able to follow your footsteps, would you mind posting the trade staken on a daily basis with little commentary so we can all follow and perhaps trade accordingly.
Thanks

The one thing I didnt mention is your odds are more in your favor if it is Thurs or Fri. Price tends to run more on those days.allisonmagic wrote:nanningbob wrote:The answer to that question is a yes or no. Re: 10.4 A Complete System
I am in that trade and am down about 20 pips. It is still giving buy signals so I will stay in. If it dips below the pivot you have a 2nd entrance point.lhDT wrote:I need a setup confirmation on USDCAD buy-stop.
1- Price in an uptrend (above white line)
2- RSI 2 bottoming
3- I set a buy-stop at the nearest Pivot above the price ? In this case, weekly mid-pivot orange dashed line.
Is this correct ?
Also, the MM panel shows allocation but only for the current price VS the white line right ?
So for pending orders, we need to calculate the position size manually also against the white line or something else ?
Thx,
Lio

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
For now, every day go to your two log files inside Empty4 and delete the contents. You cant delete todays but you can get yesterdays and before. I sent a message to Neo Trader and I am looking for another indi that will box the RSI 2 like his indi did.fmuir wrote:The 'NT TMATrue SlopeHisto MTF' indi is causing error messages about not being able to find a subwindow (?) to be added to the expert log because the name used in IndicatorShortName() as a parameter doesn't match the name used in the WindowFind() which is used as a parameter in the ObjectCreate(). Until it is corrected, you may want to delete any of your expert logs that have grown abnornally large.
I don't have the source for that indi, and source wasn't included in the package for 10.4 posted by nanningbob.

Re: 10.4 A Complete System
I am not sure why that error is occurring on Cowboy IBFX and not on FXDD - but I removed the NT TMA SlopeHisto from my chart and re-installed the RSI on top of the AO and the errors stopped (I had to uncheck the fixed min & max boxes)...nanningbob wrote:For now, every day go to your two log files inside Empty4 and delete the contents. Re: 10.4 A Complete System
I call them peeker trades and have never found out how to eliminate them. They are just part of trading. It is why I keep my SL big and Lots small. This way I can wait it out or set another trade. My broker does not show these lines broken by price so probably would not get and entrance.aristid wrote:To illustrate my question better.
A few days back, GBPUSD, overall bearish.
entry at S1, but was a fake break, now moving towards stoploss.
How to handle upcoming additional signals?
thanks again,
Aristides.
Let say you set your entrance 5 pips below you would be safe, however every trade you take you lose 5 pips on the ones that are profitable. That is the give and take of trading, you will always have aggravating trades no matter what you do. You give space to the entrances you give up pips on every trade. 5 pips on 100 trades is 500 pips. How many peeker trades hit your SL to justify losing those 500 pips. That is the math.
