Well here is a question for the Gods!
The spike down has miraculously appeared on my M30 Nzusd chart over 4hours after it appeared on yours!?!! WTF!
I wish i would have known this! I could have put the house on it and shorted it !! dang!

Can anyone explain why the same spike occurred over 4 hours later here in Australia?
Is this game rigged, or what!

That ain't a glitch. Just a good old fashioned sell-off on news.

Heavy snows turned a 4 hour trip into an 8 hour trip, finally at Lake Tahoe. Gonna relax with my sons for while.

Yep it is sell-off news....BUT why is there a " four hour " difference in the time of the spike. I have attached my 30min chart with Lio's 30min chart overlayed...can anyone see the anomoly here? Count the bars from the top of the swing high to the spike. ? I would defy anyone to say how this could be!...although I am sure there is a logical reason ...unless there has been a second spike on Lio's charts and for some reason we didn't get the first spike!

Two pieces of news. PPI in late aft (EST). Last move was on Gov Wheeler speech.

I'm not a news trader, but every set up we've seen in the last while was NZD, AUD, GBP based. That's why I went flat when it felt off. The tiny news that spiked NZD down yesterday was pitiful, but the bulls had a hard time rallying after it.

Lio's spike should be corrected by FXCM. The wide range in his legit feeds should tell you something did in fact happen then. But that huge slip... is uncalled for.

I didn't trade this, but shouldn't everyone be out of the trade when the AO change color before the spike? Is it possible to have the ITM to close out trades when the AO change color beside having the stop loss.

This moved 50 pips in 5 min. Then another 25 over the next 15. The 4hr AO lags a full 8hrs. It had barely gone green. It works to exit on a strong profitable trade because it keeps you from punching out early. It is great confirmation that the move is underway. I wouldn't rely on it for anything remotely real time. Drop to 1hr and it gives a better 4h signal.

Truth is a 30 odd pip stop on this system is rare and tiny. Almost invalidates the entry. I really liked lhDT's stop below it much better. There were actually 3 spikes to kill this trade. I got spooked on the first, ppi was the second, Wheeler's intervention speech the last. Only the last tagged the 240.

Well,

Just woke this morning and started to check my trades....

My very first 10.4 trade that i took after reading the 10.4 thread and Bobs document from cover to cover was the GBPAUD short that i posted about yesterday....

Well, i just noticed it hit my TP target just above the WS1 level @ 1.48760 for a very tidy 113 pip gain....very nice

My entry was at 2:15 (GMT +2) yesterday just below mid pivot @ 1.49891...

It looks like the pair may cycle back up and set itself for another short trade later in the week or the start of next week....

I'm also short AUDNZD GBPNZD GBPCAD and long NZDUSD

Not sure how you entered the gbpaud trade - I entered at 1.498 (WMPS) with a sell stop - it is currently up about 70 pips - I am with Cowboy IBFX - what broker are you using?
