10.4 A Complete System

Most of great looking trades turned around and hit BE for me...

Its been the same for me for this week and last week so in all for the last 2 weeks I'm pretty much b/e. Its been frustrating because some positions have been in really good profit but they've turned against me and taken b/e stops for the 1st and 2nd positions. I've stuck with only the 2 positions up to now until i get a sense of confidence about what I'm doing. My trade management is letting me down since I have been doing it manually. I've been unable to run the ITM EA because i tend to hibernate my machine and pack it away when not at my desk rendering the EA useless (as far as I understand). Does anyone know of a way around this?

Hi CJ, if your budget allows, having a VPS (virtual private server) is a great addition to your trading setup. It means your Empty4 platform is constantly on and frees up your own computer/laptop. Just a thought.

Try adding 5 of 10 pips to your initial trade, instead of set to break even...so BE plus 5 or 10..

Anyway, i would have thought that given the nature of the pivot, the distance between first second and third trade is some distance, so you can alway put you stop for first trade very close to entry of second, third etc...so if you get to a second trade you really should always make something....

Without your charts showing entry and exits, it's a little hard to offer anymore advice..

I always add pips to my breakeven anyway to allow for slippage with my crims...

edit: AUDCAD closed +50...AO turned red. Best to take the pips and look to re-enter next week. Not bad for first 3 trades on system. Would have had more if i had watched the USDJPY more closely. Darn sleep kicked in.

One quick question. According to 10.4 manual we should move SL to BE right after second (and every next one) trade opened. I have got some nice setups on last few days - with two orders opened and 90% of them (except one e/aud) were closed on BE...

I know that this way system is very stable and has got very small amount of loses but in the other hand most ot these trades were go for their TP just after (or couple of bars after) my close at BE.

Any thoughts about this ?

Same here. I really liked the concept of moving both SLs to BE after entering the second trade. Unfortunately, practically it does not work. This week all my trades were stopped out at BE ...

That's allright, you only need 1 or 2 pairs à week to pul through to get 5-6% gain.
Those BE trades prevent losing money.

I plan to evaluate all last weeks trades this weekend, and see where I can improve. One thing I'll look for is taking profit for #1 trade at the 3th level and let the other 2 roll for eather BE or AO-colour change.

At THE moment I have 11 pairs open with 7% floating profit and am waiting for ITM to close these.

Gertge: For the kind of % results you are mentioning are you using the suggested lot size by the 10.4 indicator in the upper right side of the screen???? 7% for the week and still open??? I would be just happy closing all those trades and waiting for next week.

NB 10.4 Still rocking. We should rename that method to "MMM" (money making machine) or "Cash-O-Tron"

Most of those trades has been triggered yesterday. All based on 240, RSI2 and a manual trendline (I skip trades where I can't draw a clear & precise trendline)

You took the words right out of my mouth, my thoughts exactly,although I got burnt a little with my EURCHF trade last night, but I have since recovered the losses and doubled with this 2 replacement trades, The SNOWMAN, thank you very very much for that Goodie, mehn my eyes are Opening wide open with it and I love it to Bits, it's been making me some coins.
I am done for this week, closing all my trades both on Live and Demo Accounts, will come back next week even more stronger.

Must be slow in forex. But I am laughing so hard the tears are flowing. It was a good week for the 10.4 crew, I hope the patient quiet ones will post summaries like Lio's last week. 16 for 17 trades here, and the loss was because I couldn't be bothered to watch it. Crazy crazy good.

it's been a crappy week for me.. all the reports being released and end of the month craziness is killing me, so i'm done trading until next week. hopefully things get back to normal again.

you can try using this for your news feeds , it should get you out of trouble for impending High Impact Trading News, (the Newsupdater.com) It would also give you the results as in past results thus giving you a bit of Insight as to why you have or Had some Wild swings on some certain pairs,well maybe due to the News but not that it matters really with 10.4 System if we go by the 10.4 meaning of trying to Define TREND but it's good to have a bit of Knowledge.

Unfortunately the USD is backing up in response to the income data. Hopefully it will turn around.

I closed my AUDUSD & NZDUSD shorts but the EURUSD, EURNZD & EURAUD are now looking ok after meandering for a long time!
