Re: Jem's Daily MACD Reversal Strategy
Hi Lifesys ! Is it a Multipair EA ? Have we to run it on only one chart or on every pair ?

Yes, can be on same chart as MultiIndicator & iExposure.
EA only shows the pairs qualifying MACD reverse/cross for that day. The MultiIndicator shows status of all selected pairs, far right.

Update on EA
(i) fixed premature TP hit & quick closing (ii) enabled AdaptiveTP & SL (default off) (iii) %Atr SL & TP simplified (iv) adjusted screen feedback to cater for new Empty4 build 482, quick trade buttons.
%Atr SL is a relative ADR approach to SL rather than broad 30pip. When used, default is 0.35 of ADR.

My v1d opened its first (180!) trades this morning, donno how/why that happened...
What I find super weird is that it had WTI trades at 0.01 lot --> (minimum size 1 std lot ) :!:

Will switch to latest v1e and see.
Cheers

Answer is simple. Remove WTI from PairsToTrade list or set TradeCommod(ities)=false until you have the capital. The code is set to protect your equity, but trialling this with lots <0.1 will not work with some commodities. Have adjusted Commod to reflect - [Ver 1f above.]
Can't really expect to trade commodities with pennies/cents at 0.1, 0.01 etc.
When orders are placed - Silver=Lotsx5(min 50 oz), WTI=Lotsx10 & S&P=Lots/10 with most providers.
Hence sendLots adjusts to keep commodity orders within usual range.

if (!TradeCommod) TradePair[cc][i_TRADEABLE] = nottradable;-

Re: Jem's Daily MACD Reversal Strategy
Hi Denozi,
I'm still trading it but it doesn't look ANYWHERE near as good as I first thought it did LOL
https://www.myfxbook.com/portfolio/macd ... top/446435
I posted this strategy on Feb 28... Just before it started to go downhill... Murphy's law hey? I'll continue it for a while out of habit mostly but I think this one was fun while it lasted..
Cheers,
Jeremy

I was trading this bot posted here by Lifesys ... not very successful ... gave up already some time ago ... have a link to this in my EA portfolio somewhere ... http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =36&t=1374 (Look: "TGTFX", not "TGTFX1", not "MANDL2007")

Re: Jem's Daily MACD Reversal Strategy
Alright I surely am a newbie and a lurker. But I thought this might be a interesting solution to this or a nice try. I am sure if the losses can be avoided this can be a good strategy. I sort of of gave it a try by adding the indicator (retracement finder) which is a simple CCI histogram which colors the bar when CCI crosses zero. And alerts. This indicator sort of alone works well on H4 but with your strategy we can filter out the fake moves and ride the long trend ( I think so ).Jemook » Sat May 04, 2013 9:37 pm wrote:Yep I'm calling it quits on Monday. Given below are the pictures to explain what I mean. But if you find yourself confused please gimme a chance to explain it further.
