I have 2 "server" running:

One in the basement http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentatio ... 1088&lid=1 with solid-state-drive and Win-XP pro (up to 9 x Empty4 and one JForex platform (Dukascopy) at the same time and controlled via Windows Remote Desktop).

And a Windows VPS Server 2008 from http://www.strato.de/server/virtual-windows-server/ (the smallest one, running 7 x Empty4, controlled via Windows Remote Desktop)

For personal trading I run a VPS purchased off my broker. It is, like Dietmar above controlled by Windows remote server.

I like that I dont have to worry about my old clunker comp crappy out on me in the middle of an important trade
