This thread is an attempt to archive all of the EA's Steve Hopwood coded before this forum was born. Over the past 3 years, he has coded so many EA's that they include almost all kinds of trading strategy you can think of. These EA's are very important resource for future EA coders and Strategy planners.

Archiving will be done in an alphabetic order. I'll add a little description, original thread links and all related files including EA, Indicators, Manual and templates.

If you find a missing EA or an error with the archive, Please send me a PM so I can fix it. Your help is much appreciated.

Rip: Reversi and Pippo combined

Rip is a combo of two highly successful trading robots:
* Reversi detects a trend, awaits a reversal then enters a trade in the direction of the trend. I am trading this on my live trading account.
* Pippo uses Murray Maths lines to calculate areas in which the market has moved a long way in one direction and is due a retrace. I am only not trading this on my live account because I was waiting to combine this with Reversi.

Our thanks to Alpenkorps for posting all this. The work that went into it is fantastic.

Feel free to start threads discussing the EA's. Feel free to start threads containing other archives - they can become stickies as well should they prove useful. This thread is locked, but the remainder of the forum is still open to free discussion.

When looking at my EA's remember:

• - Some of them did not work from a technical point of view and were abandoned before correction when the strategy proved flawed.
  - Most of the others failed because: 1) the strategy was rubbish; 2) the strategy was left behind by changing market condition; 3) the strategy relied so much on trader 'intuition' that realistic coding was impossible.

Anyone using any of the robots successfully on your live trading accounts, please sing out and describe how you are using it.

From a coder's perspective, the further back in time I coded the robot, the looser is my code. I am not a professional programmer and this shows, especially in my earlier work. Having said that, solutions to many of the problems met by non-pro coders can be found within this archive.
