im running snowman's setfile on a £1000 demo and i think the entries are very good. however i think 10% equity close is ambitious as you have to have a total of £100 in the basket at 0.01 lots which is what it defaults to as the set file is 0.25 % equity risk.

i will change the demo to 1% stop loss and 3% take profit as well for next week, as well as another experimental £1000 demo where i will set it to a hard lotsize of 0.05 lots with the default 2% sl and 10% tp. bit risky, but the system entries seem v good

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth as well Set the EA going on 18 pairs this morning at 6.15am aussie time on a new Global Prime $5000 demo account. The only changes I made to Snowman's set file I made were to my stoploss 1% and take profit 3%.
Very pleasing results.

Hi Guys, whilst I in no way want to detract from what Nb is all about. I am a follower and always will be, Snowman has brought me an added edge.

The advantages are:
1) I have a visual representation where price is turning on the stochastics.
2) My wife will be bitterly upset if I trade after London close. Family time is important to her So if I can get something to work for me in Asia I would be happy. Prices often retrace in Asia to come back to the daily pivot and by the time I wake up in the morning with London open I have missed the retrace and upmove.

Mr. Snowman, a question: use tco and to manage trades entered manually, or you are running the expert automatically on a demo?
In many cases, you can summarize the settings, please?

Sure, no problem, sorry for delay, I was on Friday night wine when you posted your questions, and big Honey Do list on Saturday too

1. Yes, run it on DEMO always, then decide what trades to take on real account.

2. Settings, most has already been covered, but I will post a few chart for visual help & discussion.

First, the TCO Trader EA requires that you define the trend, personally I use Price above both the 20 & 63 EMA on Daily chart ---> you can set the EA to use 4 Hour as trend, then filter with Bob MA of 60 & 240, maybe a better results for you.

First chart is the Daily, we can see it is mainly up trend but where the EA gets problem is when the retracement is too big, then stop loss get hit.

I highlight these days on chart & next will zoom in to 4H, then 1 Hour

This is the 4 Hour chart of the previous discussion on the Daily AUD/USD chart.

There is a 60 / 240 EMA on here; if you filter the trades with this, you can see that it will stop entering trades before the Daily does, This is the vertical line and price is just below 0.94 ---> you will see this on next chart of 1 Hour

Last chart is the 1 Hour chart, entry is set when Stochastic dips to 5 and crosses back up. Also can be set to trigger a trade as soon as 5 ( or 10, 20 as you like ) is hit; this was the original concept but using W%R -- many times it would trigger trades, go up and the W%R would not even show a cross of the 10 line.

This is why the confirmation option is written in the EA --- this is great for the Stoc 7-2-2 as it will run along the 0 or 100, you want trade to trigger when price moves in right direction, and as wavegarrick has found out, the EA will do a much better job than him watching the screen for hours. Also, there is the option to take multiple trades, using small risk and big stops was the successful original plan.

That was on the huge YEN run up, you have to be in a trend or you get whipsawed or take a lot of stops if too close; this is why I like my daily trend filter & keep an eye on Bob 4 Hour trend direction.

I will set this up on VPS soon, but I am change my Take Profit to 1 Average Daily Range, this is more achievable and in line with Bob's preachings.
